Prof. Ng Boon-Kwee is Professor of Science and Technology Studies at the Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. His research focuses on science, technology and innovation (STI) policy, industrial innovation, social innovation, and science diplomacy, with an emphasis on translating science and innovation into societal and policy impact. He has served as consultant and advisor to international and national organisations, including the OECD, IDRC, ERIA, MOSTI, the Ministry of Economy Malaysia, and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. In 2019, he was seconded to Bocconi University and the United Nations University–MERIT under the EU Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Programme. Prof. Ng is Associate Editor of Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Editorial Board Member of the Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, and a Member of the MyCite Journal Evaluation Panel (2024–2027). His recognitions include the Universiti Malaya Excellence Award 2026 (Best Book), the AUA Scholars Award, the INGSA-Asia Grassroots Science Advice Promotion Award, and the Taiwan MOFA Fellowship.
