Ir. Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman is a professor at Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. Currently he is the Acting Registrar of the University. Previous positions held by him includes Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), and Dean of Faculty of Engineering. His main research areas are mixing in stirred vessels, green technology, and advanced wastewater treatment. He has graduated more than 100 PhD and Master students and has published more than 300 articles in high impact journals and conference proceedings. He was recognized as one of the highly cited researchers in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 by Clarivate. He is a fellow of Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Institution of Chemical Engineers UK, and Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. Professor Abdul Aziz is also a practicing chemical engineer especially in the field of environmental sustainability and chemical process improvement.
