Dr. Annisaa Basar is an academic at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Malaya. Her work brings together sports science, exercise physiology, and cognitive function, with a particular interest in how physical activity can support health, learning, and well-being. She holds a PhD in Health and Physical Education from Universiti Malaya, as well as a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from Universiti Teknologi MARA.
Her research examines the physiological and cognitive effects of exercise, including physical activity programmes for university students. Her recent work also extends to short, game-based physical activity and its relationship with attention and physiological responses. Through interdisciplinary research, Dr. Basar aims to develop practical, evidence-informed approaches that make physical activity more accessible and meaningful in educational settings.
