Biography | |
Dr. Muhammad Asri Mohd Ali is a Senior Lecture at the Department of Administrative Studies and Politics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He received his Ph.D in Political Study from University of Malaya. He specializes in in Malaysian Politics, especially in voting behavior, political culture and state-society relations. Currently he is doing a research on power transition and electoral reform in Malaysia and a consultant for unity policy for the Selangor state government (research project initiated by Institute of Ethnic Studies, National University of Malaysia or UKM). He is regularly invited by the mainstream in Malaysia to share his opinion on the country's political landscape. He is also actively in moderating social discourses on current issues in Malaysia organized by National Council Professor (NCP) where he is one of the research fellow there starting from 2016 to 2022. He is also a research fellow at University of Malaya Centre for Democracy and Electoral Study (UMCEDEL) starting from January 2021 to December 2021. |
