Ismail Ahmedy is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer System and Technology (CST), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. He is currently the Head for Research Grant Management Division, Department of Research Management, Universiti Malaya. He is also Head of the Center for Mobile Cloud Computing Research (C4MCCR). Previously, he was the Head of Department for Department of Computer System and Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya. He received his BSc (Computer) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2006. After completing his study, he has been granted a full scholarship to pursue his studies in Master and PhD where he received his MSc (Computer Science) from University of Queensland, Australia in 2009 and PhD (Computer Science) in 2015. He obtained his PhD (Computer Science) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia specialized in communication protocol for wireless sensor networks. His research interests are WSN, Internet of Things, Energy Managament and Optimization Algorithm. Ismail has been awarded several research grants as a principal investigator for MRUN-LRGS, FRGS, IIRG and other research grants approx. RM600K. He has been actively publishing more than 40 SCIE (WOS) journals. To date, he has successfully supervised 9 PhD and 3 Masters (by research) students.
show more »Dr. Amirah Shazana Magli is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya, specialising in Family Economics and Management. Her research focuses on financial well-being, financial vulnerability and financial literacy, particularly among B40 households in Malaysia. Her scholarly work has been widely published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, including Sustainability, PLOS ONE and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. She has also authored book chapters addressing financial security, financial stress and the economic resilience of low-income communities. Her scientific interests include financial behaviour, policy management and the role of FinTech in financial inclusion. She has received multiple academic awards, including the Graduate-on-Time (GOT) Award and the Gold Award at the Professional Inventor Competition for her research on financial vulnerability models. She has also been recognised for her innovative teaching methodologies, earning the Silver Award at the i-Succeed: Innovative Learning Nexus Competition. Dr. Amirah Shazana is an active consultant and industry collaborator, contributing to financial literacy initiatives and policy-making aimed at enhancing financial security for vulnerable populations.
show more »Wan Afiqah Anis Binti Wan Ahmad A native of Kelantan, Wan Afiqah Anis binti Wan Ahmad is a doctoral candidate in English Language, specialising in listening skills from an Islamic perspective and is currently awaiting her viva voce examination. She earned her Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and her Bachelor of Education in English as a Second Language from Universiti Selangor. Her scholarly pursuits centre on the intersection of English language acquisition and Islamic studies, with a particular emphasis on the development of listening skills. This focus is reflected in her extensive portfolio of online publications and newspaper articles. She has disseminated her research findings through presentations at both national and international conferences, culminating in several published research papers. She made her first television debut on Selamat Pagi Malaysia (SPM), discussing English language and its challenges to students of Islamic studies. Currently, she serves as a language lecturer at Universiti Malaya Education Centre (UMEC), Bachok, Kelantan.
