•He completed Bachelors in pharmacy from Jamia Hamdard University (New Delhi) in 2011 and Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (Noida) and International Islamic University Malaysia (Kuantan) in a the sandwich program which was completed in 2013. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Pharmaceutical drug regulatory affairs from Jamia Hamdard (New Delhi, 2012). •He completed his PhD from International Islamic University Malaysia (Kuantan) in 2017. His PhD research was on drug delivery and technologies. For his PhD, he received a prestigious Islamic development bank scholarship. • After his PhD, he worked at University Malaysia Pahang, as a senior lecturer teaching in the pharmaceutical engineering department. •His specialization is on the field of pharmaceutical technology and engineering area which includes (drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology (nanoparticles mediated drug delivery), animal model, analytical chemistry (LC-MS, HPLC) and system validation and qualification. •Currently he is working at Universiti Malaya in pharmacy faculty attached to the pharmaceutical technology department.
show more »Dr. Mazlina Mazlan is a Professor and Head of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at Universiti Malaya. She has significantly advanced the field, particularly in brain injury and neurorehabilitation. Her expertise spans traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. Prof. Mazlina's TBI research has been widely published in medical journals, and she serves as Associate Editor for Neurology Asia (WoS) and Journal of Health and Translational Medicine (Scopus). She has co-authored numerous chapters and books, including a contribution to the globally recognized textbook Braddom's Rehabilitation Care. Her influence extends to keynote addresses at international conferences including the World Congress of the International Society of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine and invited clinical workshops in Southeast Asia. Additionally, she founded and leads the Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physicians' Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Special Interest Groups, focusing on clinical training, education, and public awareness. Prof. Mazlina has supervised over 50 postgraduates, including the first PhD graduate from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Universiti Malaya. Her leadership extends to chairing the National Conjoint Board for Rehabilitation Medicine Specialty and serving as a Medical Specialty Program Panel Evaluator for the Malaysian Medical Council. She is also part of the World Health Organisation's expert review group for Rehabilitation Intervention toolkit. Beyond academia, Prof. Mazlina frequently serves as an expert medical witness in medico-legal TBI cases. Clinically, she is a pioneer, being the first Malaysian rehabilitation physician with a Research & Clinical Fellowship in brain injury rehabilitation and the first Malaysian appointed to the Asian Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Society SIG Council. She provides expert clinical consultations and treatments, as a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician at UM Medical Center & UM Specialist Center.
show more »Prof. Dr. Raymond Ooi is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia since 2015. He won the Malaysian Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Award in 2013. He obtained his PhD (dr.rer.nat) from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany in quantum optics and laser cooling of molecules. He then worked as a post-doctoral Research Associate for three years with Marlan O. Scully (a distinguish physicist in quantum coherence). During this time, he was also a Visiting Scientist at Princeton University and Max-Planck Institut fuer Quantenoptik. Then, he joined KAIST as a Research Professor, Korea University as Assistant Professor and Monash University (Sunway) as Senior Lecturer, before joining Universiti Malaya in 2010. His research has produced a total of more than 160 publications (mainly WoS journal & including conference papers) covering quantum optics, nonlinear molecular spectroscopy and quantum microscopy, statistical physics of Bose-Einstein condensates, interactions, generation and propagation of ultrashort and intense laser pulses. In 2011 he initiated the "Quantum and Laser Science" research center and single-handedly developed the Ultrafast High Intensity Femtosecond Laser and Optics facility in High Impact Research (HIR) building through the MoHE grant. In 2018, he initiated and chaired the first international conference on Quantum and Nonlinear Optics(QNO2018). Recently he is leading quantum communications research program for the country.
