She has been involved in subcritical and supercritical fluids research, particularly in thermodynamics and extraction. More recently, Dr. Teoh is involved in the extraction of nutraceuticals from plants indigenous to Malaysia. Ir. Dr. Teoh is a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Dr. Asemi is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research collaborations across domains such as healthcare, environmental science, and law, where she leverages AI-driven approaches to address real-world challenges. Since 2019, her research focus has expanded to include the multi-criteria evaluation of big data and IoT technologies, solidifying her role as a leading contributor to smart decision-making frameworks. As an active member of the global academic community, Dr. Asemi serves as an editor and reviewer for leading journals, including Applied Soft Computing, and actively participates in renowned international conferences such as SIGMOD and FOCUS.
