DR. KUMAR A/L SELUAKUMARAN

Dr. Kumar is a seasoned medical lecturer with over 16 years of experience at the Department of Physiology, University Malaya. He holds a medical degree from Univerisity of Malaya and a PhD in auditory neuroscience from the University of Western Australia, where he was awarded the IPRS scholarship. As a dedicated educator, Dr. Kumar has taught physiology courses to medical students and mentored graduate students. He is also the principal investigator of an auditory research lab, focusing on innovative hearing screening methods. His research interests include audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, and auditory neuroscience. Dr. Kumar's work is driven by a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments. His research aims to develop affordable and accessible hearing screening methods to address the global burden of hearing loss.

PROF. DR. SAIFUL ANUAR BIN KARSANI

Driven and focused; born with the spirit of an academic, and the soul of an explorer; Saiful received a PhD in Molecular Parasitology from Imperial College, London in 2006 after which he immediately joined Universiti Malaya as an academic. Currently he is a professor of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Science. More than 12 PhD and 15 MSc students have graduated under Saiful’s supervision. With over 70 publications (WOS) and an h-index of 22, Saiful is a recognized authority in the field of proteomics and has multiple collaborations with researchers across the globe. He has received more than RM 5 million in research grants. Saiful also holds various management responsibilities. Of particular note are his roles as Deputy Dean (2015-2017) and Dean (2017-2022) of the Frontiers of the Natural World Research Cluster (formerly known as Frontier Science Research Cluster), Director of IPPP (JPP) (2022-2024), and Currently as Dean of The Faculty of Science (Since 2025).

DR. WOO CHAW SENG

Woo Chaw Seng completed his B.Comp.Sc. and M.Comp.Sc. at the University of Malaya(UM) in 1996 and 1999 respectively. He joined the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at UM in 1999 as a lecturer. A SIRIM patent was granted out of his Masters thesis. Serving as a fellow in the 5th Residential College from 2000 to 2003 provided him lots of management skills and softskills. He received a fully financed Study Leave Award from UM to study PhD at QUT Australia in 2004-2006. UM appointed him to serve as Principal of the 1st Residential College from 2008 to 2012. The university management also appointed him to serve as Head of Artificial Intelligence Department in his faculty from 2009 to 2011. He was awarded a fully financed 9-month sabbatical leave in 2012. Dr Woo has been actively doing research, supervising postgraduates, managing research grants, attending workshops/seminars, and publishing in conferences and journals. His research interests include image processing, computer security, and mobile computing.
