ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ZAWAWI BIN ISMAIL

Dr. Zawawi Ismail is an Associate Professor and previously the Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his Bachelor Degree in Arabic Language & Literature (Major), Shariah (Minor) from Yarmouk University, Jordan, Post Graduate Diploma of Education from International Islamic University Malaysia, Master in Arabic Education and obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Education from the National University of Malaysia 2008. His research interests include Arabic & Islamic Education Curriculum, Teacher Education, Muslim Minority Education,  and Quranic Language Education. He has published articles in international and national journals,  books and other publications. Dr. Zawawi has contributed a lot to society and he is also active in several NGOs and one of the founders of Yayasan As-Syafie which is focusing on developing Islamic Boarding School in Cambodia and other educational activities in Indonesia and Malaysia.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. DING SEONG LIN

Dr. Seong Lin DING is Associate Professor of Sociolinguistics at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics. She is formerly an OeAD scholar and a Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies Fellow. She has held visiting positions at the University of Manchester (UK), Lancaster University (UK), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HK), Yonsei University (South Korea), and University of Glamorgan (University of South Wales, UK). She has also been invited to present lectures and seminars at the University of Zadar (Croatia), University of Graz (Austria), and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). Her research focuses on minority/heritage languages and communities. She is also interested in migration linguistics, sociology of education, language and identity, and linguistic landscape. Her academic articles have appeared in leading journals in linguistics (e.g., Applied Linguistics Review; Current Issues in Language Planning; International Journal of Bilingualism; International Journal of Heritage Studies; Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development; Language in Society; Lingua; Multilingua; Names; Social Semiotics), and educational research (e.g., Australasian Journal of Educational Technology; Educational Technology Research and Development; Innovations in Education and Teaching International; Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching). She is the lead author of Chinese on the Move: Migration, Language, and Identity (2025, Palgrave Macmillan); and the lead co-editor of Seeing Beyond a 'Chinatown': Heritage and Identity in Chinese Spaces in Kuala Lumpur (2026, Palgrave Macmillan).

DR. NUR NASUHA BINTI MOHD DAUD

Dr. Nur Nasuha Binti Mohd Daud is a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya. Her research centres on link prediction in complex data structures and its application through knowledge graph modelling and knowledge representation. Her work is supported by large-scale data processing and practical system development using distributed frameworks, cloud deployment, and containerised environments. She applies these approaches in socio-technical domains such as social networks, well-being analytics, and collaborative information platforms. She is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and research collaboration, aiming to translate research ideas into usable systems and meaningful real-world impact.
