Biography | |
Dr. Seong Lin DING is Associate Professor of Sociolinguistics at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics. Her research focuses on minority/heritage languages and communities. She is also interested in sociology of education, identity, and linguistic landscape. She was formerly a Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies Fellow and has held visiting positions at the University of Manchester, Lancaster University, University of Glamorgan (University of South Wales) (UK), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HK) and Yonsei University (South Korea). She has also been awarded Erasmus plus Mobility Grant to present lectures and conduct workshops at the University of Zadar, Croatia. Her academic articles have appeared in leading journals in linguistics (Language in Society; Current Issues in Language Planning; Multilingua; International Journal of Bilingualism; Social Semiotics; Lingua; International Journal of Heritage Studies; Applied Linguistics Review), and educational research (Educational Technology Research and Development; Australasian Journal of Educational Technology; Innovations in Education and Teaching International). She particularly welcomes opportunities for international and interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers of shared interests in the area of minority language and migration. |
