Biography | |
Dedicated and accomplished professional with an academic background and a proven track record in sustainability and development. Possesses a Master's degree in Science, Technology & Sustainability (2015), and a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Policy and Management of Science & Technology (2010) from the esteemed Department of Science and Technology Studies, Faculty of Science UM. Currently serving as a Research Officer at the prestigious UM Sustainability and Development Centre (UMSDC) since its establishment in November 2021, contributing significantly to the advancement of sustainable practices and initiatives. His sustainability journey began through dynamic roles in campus sustainability coordination at UM, leaving an indelible mark on various platforms. Notably, he served as a key player in the Sustainability Science Research Cluster for UM Sustainable Development Solutions Network Chapter from 2014 to 2017, the UM Sustainability & Living Labs Secretariat (UMSLLS) from 2018 to 2020, and the UM Community and Sustainability Centre (UMCares) for EcoCampus unit in 2021. Beyond his dedicated professional endeavors, Mr. Fadhli has made notable contributions on the global stage. He represented Malaysia as a youth delegate at the 2nd Global Model United Nations in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, July 2010), Talking Across Generations on Peace (New Delhi, India in 2016), and played a crucial role in the 1st International Youth Symposium on Responsible Sustainable Palm Oil (Bangkok, Thailand in 2019). These experiences have enriched his perspective and fueled his commitment to advancing sustainable practices. Mr. Fadhli's research pursuits reflect his dedication to shaping impactful policies, driving Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and fostering volunteerism. His intellectual prowess is further demonstrated through his active involvement as UM’s Technical Committee Member, Taskforce and Key Member of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings on SDGs (THE IR) since 2020, UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (UIGM) since 2015, and QS World University Rankings on Sustainability (Environment, Social and Governance - ESG) since 2021. An esteemed member of UM Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UM SDSN) & Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE Central Semenanjung), Mr. Fadhli continues to be an enabler and advocator in the realm of sustainable development. |
