Fadhli Rahmat is a dedicated sustainability professional with a strong academic and practical foundation in science, technology, and sustainable development. He holds a Master’s in Science, Technology & Sustainability (2015) and a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Policy and Management of Science & Technology (2010) from Universiti Malaya (UM). Currently serving as a Research Officer at the UM Sustainable Development Centre (UMSDC) under the Associate Vice-Chancellor (Corporate Strategy) Portfolio since its inception in 2021, he plays a pivotal role in advancing UM’s sustainability agenda through research, policy, and campus transformation. Fadhli’s career reflects a decade of impactful contributions in sustainability coordination across UM’s key platforms, from the UM Sustainable Development Solutions Network (2014–2017) to the UM Sustainability & Living Labs Secretariat (2018–2020) and EcoCampus Unit (2021). His work extends globally, representing Malaysia at international youth and sustainability dialogues in India, Thailand, Malaysia and other platforms. Actively involved in global university rankings, he joins technical committees for THE Impact Rankings on SDGs, UI GreenMetric WUR, and QS Sustainability Rankings on ESG. A passionate advocate of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), volunteerism and ESG, Fadhli continues to champion transformative change, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
