AP Dr. Norasmatul Akma Ahmad is a Prosthodontist at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. She obtained her BDS from Universiti Malaya in 2002 and served as a dental officer with the Ministry of Health Malaysia for 4 years before pursuing specialist training in London. In 2009, she obtained her Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics with Distinction from King’s College London and was awarded Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRD, Edinburgh). She completed her PhD at Universiti Malaya in 2025, receiving a Thesis with Distinction.

Her research interests include tooth wear, prosthodontics, and dental education. She has supported multidisciplinary research and secured more than RM2.5 million in research grants, with contributions to scholarly publications and intellectual property development.

She has served as Head of the Department of Restorative Dentistry (2017–2021) and currently serves as Deputy Dean (Undergraduate Studies). Clinically, she practices as a Prosthodontist and Restorative Consultant at the Universiti Malaya Specialist Centre.

Dr. Norasmatul contributes nationally as an elected member of the Dental Specialty Sub-Committee (DSCC) under the Malaysian Dental Council and the Dental Specialty Education Committee (DentSEdC) under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Internationally, she serves as an examiner for Membership in Restorative Dentistry examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
