PROF. DR. NOOR HAYATY BINTI ABU KASIM

Noor Hayaty is a professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya. She has 26 years of experience in a variety of research, teaching, management and leadership roles at the University of Malaya. She is currently the Dean of Wellness Research Cluster (WRC), where she facilitates an interdisciplinary network of researchers involved in a broad range of research and innovation. Her research interests include biomaterials, regenerative medicine, clinical dentistry and ageing. Her experience in biomaterials, regenerative medicine and clinical dentistry were the foundation for her involvement in ageing research. At WRC, she spearheads the ‘Active Ageing Grand Challenge Programme’ under which specific areas such as ‘Independent Living, were established to promote the concept of active ageing in Malaysia. She is currently leading a research project entitled ‘Dental Care Pathway for Geriatric Population in Selected ASEAN Countries’ where her team is working closely with the Oral Health Division, Ministry of Health to improve the quality of dental care for older people. Together with collaborators from the Faculty of Computer Science, she is also interested to create supportive environment that could contribute to the quality of life and better living for the elderly population by employing assistive technologies. She is the past-president of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), Southeast Asian Division and she has contributed towards promoting dental research through IADR Regional Development Program in countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.

DR. NOR NADIA BINTI ZAKARIA

Dr. Nor Nadia Zakaria is a highly accomplished dental professional with a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academia. She graduated from Universiti Malaya (UM) in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and immediately began her career as a dental officer at Lumut Navy Hospital, where she developed a special interest in Oral Surgery. After three years of service, she transitioned into academia, joining UM in 2013 to pursue her Orthodontic specialty training. In 2017, Dr. Nadia achieved a Master in Orthodontics degree from UM and a Diploma of Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This solidified her expertise in the field and led to her current position as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Dentistry at UM. Throughout her tenure, she has held a number of management roles, including postgraduate coordinator, head of information and publicity (faculty), and assistant dean of alumni. Dr. Nadia is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring, and enjoys working with both undergraduates and budding orthodontists. Her clinical work focuses on multidisciplinary management of patients with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), orthognathic surgery and cleft, and she is particularly passionate about clear aligner therapy. In addition to her professional commitments, Dr. Nadia is actively involved in the dental community. She currently serves as a secretary of the Malaya Universiti Dental Association (MUDA) and is a member of the Malaysian Association of Orthodontists (MAO) and Malaysian Dental Association (MDA). Dr. Nadia is not only dedicated to her profession, but also to making a positive impact in her community. She is passionate about supporting charity runs and sports events and makes an effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle despite her busy schedule. She believes in balancing her time between work, personal development and community service.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MUHAMMAD FAIZAL BIN A. GHANI

    Muhammad Faizal A. Ghani is an academic in the Department of Educational Management, Administration, and Policy, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. His expertise lies in Educational Leadership, with a focus on Educational Management and Administration, as well as School Finance. He contributes to society by sharing his academic knowledge, skills, values, and professionalism through scholarly publications—having authored nine academic books and more than two hundred research articles. His latest book is entitled “School Leadership in the 21st Century.” In addition to his publications,  Muhammad Faizal has been invited as a keynote and plenary speaker at various international and national conferences, seminars, and workshops. In the area of research, he serves as an evaluator of research proposals at his university and has secured international, private, and government research grants exceeding USD 80,000 for studies related to Effective Schools, Educational Leadership, School Finance, and Principalship. His extensive experience is further reflected in his editorial contributions. He currently serves as the Editor of the Journal of Educational Leadership and as a member of the editorial boards for several international journals, including the Bannu University Research Journal in Education, the Journal of Economics and Finance, the European Journal of Educational and Social Sciences, and the International Journal of Education, Teaching, and Learning.
