PROF. DR. LEE WAY SEAH

  Brief CV:       Professor Lee Way Seah   MBBS (Malaya), MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin), FRCPCH, M.D. (Malaya), FAMM, FAMS (Hons), FASc. Professor Way Seah Lee is Professor in Paediatrics and senior consultant paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his medical education at the same university and graduated in 1988. He joined the Department of Paediatrics of his alma mater as a lecturer in 1996 and was promoted to professor in 2006. Professor Lee has published more than 120 scientific papers in local and international journals. Professor Lee has also edited four pediatric reference books; 'Handbook of Hospital Paediatrics', 'Handbook of Hospital Paediatrics, 2nd Edition'; ‘Textbook of Paediatrics and Child Health’, a popular undergraduate textbook; and most recently ‘Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition: A Survival Guide’.     Professor Lee has trained many local and international fellows in paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology. He is an examiner for Master of Paediatrics and MRCPCH examination as well as external examiner for undergraduate examination to several Malaysian universities and the licentiate examination in Hong Kong. He was the President of College of Paediatrics, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia from 2006 to 2012, and the Head of Department of Paediatrics from 2011 to 2016. He is a Commonwealth Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar. In April 2016, Professor Lee was elected as a fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Malaysia, becoming the second paediatrician in Malaysia to be elected to this prestigious academy.

DR. NADIRAH BINTI MAT POZIAN

Dr. Nadirah Mat Pozian is a feminist public health scholar passionate about advancing gender equity and women’s well-being in Southeast Asia. She explores how gendered structures, social norms, and systemic inequalities shape women’s participation in work, access to health services, and overall life outcomes. Her work turns feminist research into practical solutions that improve policies, workplaces, and community programs. She collaborates with policymakers, NGOs, community groups, and global health stakeholders to design research that is inclusive, participatory, and transformative. She has led multi-country studies, facilitated stakeholder dialogues, and contributed to regional and UN-level policy initiatives on gender-responsive health systems and workplace equity. Nadirah’s research uses qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and co-design workshops. She focuses on sensitive issues such as gender-based violence, maternal and reproductive health, and workplace inequities, ensuring women’s voices guide policy and practice. Her work bridges research, advocacy, and policy, advancing inclusive, feminist-centred approaches that centre women’s rights, agency, and care in health and social systems. Her publications include Family-Friendly Work Conditions and Well-Being Among Malaysian Women (2024) and Barriers Faced by Australian and New Zealand Women When Sharing Experiences of Family Violence with Primary Healthcare Providers (2023). She is currently writing her first book on family-friendly policies and family planning, focusing on Malaysia and Southeast Asia. ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ROZAIMAH ZAINUDIN

Dr. Rozaimah Zainudin is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya. She obtained her Ph.D. in Finance from Universiti Malaya in 2011. She earned an MBA and a BBA (Finance) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. Dr. Zainudin's expertise in corporate finance, international finance and risk management. Her research contributions are widely recognized, evident in her extensive publications in reputable journals such as the International Journal of Emerging Markets, Borsa Istanbul Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and many others. She has also co-authored a book entitled “The Malaysian Banking Industry: Policies and Practices after the Asian Financial Crisis” published by Routledge in 2018 with the other two authors (BOOK : The Malaysian Banking Industry after the Asian Financial Crisis (Please click this link https://rdcu.be/4fwg). The book offers valuable insights into the evolution of policies, risk management, and bailout strategies. This comprehensive resource fills a crucial gap in the market, providing students, researchers, and practitioners with up-to-date knowledge on the dynamic landscape of Malaysian banking post-AFC. Dr. Zainudin's research interests extend to national and international projects, where she has been involved in several research grants focusing on topics like Financial Technology Usage and Financial Wellbeing, Shariah-Compliant Firms, Corporate Fraud, Financial Literacy and Corporate ESG-related studies. She presented her work findings at various international conferences, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in finance. As an academic, Dr. Zainudin is involved in teaching and supervising postgraduate students, contributing significantly to the development of future scholars in her field.
