Biography | |
Noor Hashimah Hashim Lim is a Senior Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning at Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She obtained her PhD of Urban and Regional Planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and MSc Project Management from the National University of Singapore. Her research interest revolves around statistical modeling, examining the intricate interplay between environmental factors and human behaviors, with a keen emphasis on population health, climate-community resilience, participatory planning and digital urbanism. Her recent works include developing a virtual community mapping that captures people-place attachment, as well as engaging underprivileged B40 children in participatory design initiatives. Prior to being an academician, Hashimah has 7 years of industrial working experience in project management focusing on property development. She has also served as the Head of Research at a local think-tank in Malaysia producing policy briefs related to urban and rural governance, city planning and urbanisation issues. |
