Dr. Loh Jian Sheng is a registered pharmacist and Pharmacy Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Life Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy. He obtained his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Monash University Malaysia, where his doctoral research integrated systems biology-guided target discovery, in vitro validation of microglial autophagy and neuroinflammatory responses, and in vivo pharmacokinetic and brain distribution assessment of intranasally administered zerumbone-loaded PEGylated liposomes for nose-to-brain delivery. Building on this foundation, his current and emerging research applies systems biology and experimental validation to identify disease-relevant targets and mechanisms, with growing interest in gut-derived metabolites and cross-organ communication. His scholarly work includes 11 Web of Science-indexed publications, including four first-author papers, one of which was published in Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy and was designated a Web of Science Hot Paper. He also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for international journals such as Journal of Advanced Research, Industrial Crops and Products, Scientific Reports, and Journal of Cellular Biochemistry. |
