Cardiovascular pharmacology with a focus on signal transduction pathways regulating vasoconstriction and vasorelaxation, and the interplay between the gut microbiome and cardiovascular diseases (e.g., hypertension and vascular dysfunction). Techniques include tissue/organ bath experiments, calcium assays, Western blotting, toxicity assays and next-generation sequencing (NGS) for microbiome profiling. |
