Dr. Ooi Po Lin is a Clinical Oncologist at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya in 2015 and obtained her Master of Clinical Oncology in 2024, achieving distinction in core sciences. Her clinical and research interests focus on breast, gastrointestinal, and urological malignancies, with expertise in chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and palliative care. Dr. Ooi has contributed to multiple international clinical trials, including PACIFIC-8, ARC-10, DESTINY-LUNG03, and KEYNOTE-B49, and co-authored publications in Annals of Oncology, Annals of General Psychiatry, and Frontiers in Psychology. Actively engaged in academic and professional development, she serves on organizing committees and as moderator for oncology education programs such as the Masterclass in Systemic Therapy, HCC Masterclass, and Navigator Masterclass. Beyond her clinical and academic commitments, she participates in community and faith-based initiatives, including volunteer teaching in Sunday School. Outside of work, Dr. Ooi enjoys staying active through Pilates and pickleball, and is currently learning Japanese as part of her personal growth and cross-cultural interests.

Dr. Suhaili Sarif is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Shariah and Management, Academy of Islamic Studies Universiti Malaya. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Shariah (Bsh) in 1999 and Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2002 both from Universiti Malaya. He then received his PhD in Islamic Studies (2014) from the University of Edinburgh UK. He specializes in Islamic Management, Islamic Wealth Management and Halal Management. He teaches both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes covering many subjects within his related expertise. He has been researching on many topics related to the areas of Halal Industry, Zakat and poverty eradication, Mosque institution and Islamic Tourism Industry.  

Md Faruk Abdullah is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Shariah and Economics, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya (UM). Prior to joining UM, he was a Senior Lecturer at the School of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), where he served for eight years. He obtained his PhD in Islamic Economics from Universiti Malaya in 2016 and completed the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) program at INCEIF University in 2012. His academic background also includes a bachelor’s degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh (Islamic Law and Jurisprudence) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2010, where he was awarded the Best Student (Overall) in the faculty. Dr. Faruk has demonstrated expertise in teaching Islamic finance, wealth management, Shariah, and fiqh al-mu‘āmalāt at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published extensively in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus-indexed journals, with an H-index of 4 (WoS) and 6 (Scopus). His research interests include the Shariah dimensions of business and finance, product innovation in Islamic finance, Islamic social finance, and Islamic wealth management. He previously served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Nusantara Studies (JONUS) and currently collaborates with the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) as an Associate Fellow.
