Dr. Muhammad Fazril Razif became a member of the Department of Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine in 2014. He completed his undergraduate education at Murdoch University (Perth, Australia) in 2007 with a double degree in BSc (Biomedical Science/Molecular Biology) and BSc (Forensic Biology and Toxicology; Minor in Criminology). In 2009, he joined the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research to pursue his PhD research. After four years, he received his PhD from the School of Medicine and Pharmacology (University of Western Australia, Australia), with his project entitled “RNA-binding Proteins: Unraveling the code”. During his candidature, Dr. Fazril was shortlisted as a state-finalist for the AusBiotech-GSK Student Excellence Awards (2011) for his work. Dr. Fazril has worked on numerous research projects, including the expression and validation of synthetic proteins, genomics and transcriptomics studies on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, diabetes and schizophrenia. In 2017, he joined the Medicinal Mushroom Research Group (MMRG) and has great interest in studying the genome, transcriptome and proteome of medicinal mushrooms. His current research also focuses on the expression of novel proteins found in medicinal mushrooms and their bioactivities via pre-clinical and clinical studies. Academically, he has spearheaded the development of three new courses in the Department. These are GIM2001 Body and Your Health; MIX3001 Techniques in Molecular Medicine and GDM0006 Global Trends in Food and Health. He is also an active Faculty member, with positions as the Deputy Head (Research & Publication) in the Visibility, Information and Communication (VICFOM) Unit, member of the Internal Audit team under the Quality Management System (QMS) Committee, and member of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSHE).  As a Principal Investigator, he has supervised 4 PhD and 2 MSc students, and is currently supervising 3 PhD and 1 MSc candidates . He has also published 3 Book chapters and 20 research articles, and have received a total of 8 research grants (3 as Principal Investigator). In 2017, he was awarded with “The Highest Number of Publications in the Department” award. In 2021, he was nominated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) to represent Universiti Malaya at the National Young Scientist Award 2021, Academy of Sciences Malaysia. At present, he is an Editorial Board member of two journals and is an Executive Committee member of the Malaysian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (MSBMB).

Professor Juliana Othman is an applied linguist and teacher educator at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, with over 30 years of experience in language education. She has held key leadership roles, including Chair of the Centre for Research in Language Education (CRiLE), Head of the Department of Language & Literacy Education (2015–2018), and Deputy Director of the Centre for the Initiation of Talent and Industrial Training, driving impactful research and curriculum reforms. Her academic excellence has earned her prestigious recognitions, such as the Fulbright Scholar Fellowship, Visiting Scholar appointments at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Washington, and the Asian University Alliance Scholar.  Prof. Juliana plays a vital role in enhancing academic standards as an External Program Assessor and consultant for leading universities and education programs. Her research, supported by the British Council, the Ministry of Education, and Universiti Malaya, focuses on teacher professional development, second language pedagogy, and bilingual education, directly influencing policy and classroom practices. Beyond academia, Prof. Juliana actively contributes to national and international educational advancement. She has served as an External Program Assessor for leading institutions locally and internationally, such as Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Indonesia, ensuring academic rigor in language education programs. As a consultant and advisor, she has played a key role in shaping curriculum frameworks, including the BED Primary program at the Institute Pendidikan Guru Ilmu Khas and Universiti Utara Malaysia. A prolific author and advocate, she has published extensively on language education and has been instrumental in shaping national and institutional curriculum frameworks. Through her leadership and scholarship, she continues to elevate language education standards and empower educators, making a lasting impact in the field.

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics at Universiti Malaya, committed to excellence in teaching, research, and professional service. I hold a PhD and Master of Science in Statistics from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Science Education from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. My research interests encompass applied statistics, econometrics, digital transformation, technology adoption, sustainable tourism, and bibliometric analysis. I am a member of the Malaysian Mathematical Science Society (PERSAMA), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and Association for Mathematical Research. I have published over 70 peer-reviewed papers,  mostly indexed in WoS/Scopus. I have been involved in 29 research grants, leading 10 projects across interdisciplinary domains. I serve as Academic Editor for 3 WoS Q1 and 1 Scopus journals. Beyond research, I actively contribute to curriculum development, accreditation exercises, university committees, and international collaborations, while mentoring postgraduate students and fostering interdisciplinary academic partnerships.
