ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MARNIZA BINTI SAAD

Marniza Saad is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Department of Clinical Oncology, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, since 2006. She also holds the Associate Professor post at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya (UM) Kuala Lumpur. She obtained her Medical Degree from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, United Kingdom in 1997. She completed her general medical training within the South Wales Medical Rotation in 2000. In 2001 she joined UM as a trainee lecturer in Oncology. She pursued her formal training as clinical oncologist at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, UK from 2002 to 2006 and was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (Clinical Oncology) in 2006. She is now the supervisor and internal examiner for the Master of Clinical Oncology programme in UM since May 2006. Working within the department Education Committee, she has deep passion for education and training of future oncologists in Malaysia. She was the Head of Department of Clinical Oncology UMMC from 2013 to 2015. During this time she was overseeing the development of Stereotactic Radiosurgery/Radiotherapy (SRS/SRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) with the designated expert teams, until successful initiation of the services in UMMC in May and September 2015, respectively. She is currently in the UMMC Intra-Operative Radiotherapy Working Group to introduce the service in UMMC in the near future. She is an Exco Committee member for Malaysia Oncological Society since 2013. She is a member of College of Radiology Academy of Medicine Malaysia and European Society for Medical Oncology. Her areas of special interest include genitourinary cancer, sarcoma, breast and gastrointestinal cancers. She is the principle investigator for several international clinical trials mainly in urological cancers and regularly speaks in the areas of her interest at both local and international conferences.

PROF. DR. NOORHIDAWATI BINTI ABDULLAH

Noorhidawati Abdullah is Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (Science and Management Systems, 2000) and a Master's Degree in Information Technology (Information Systems Management, 2003), both from the National University of Malaysia. She earned her PhD from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, in 2008. Since joining Universiti Malaya in 2008, Noorhidawati has excelled in both teaching and leadership roles. She served as Head of the Department of Library and Information Science (2017–2021) and held key positions such as Programme Coordinator for the Master of Information Technology (2008–2010) and the Master of Library and Information Science (2015–2021). She has taught a broad range of courses in information and library science, including databases, digital libraries, bibliometrics, scholarly publishing, research methodology, and data librarianship. Her research interests encompass Informetrics (including bibliometrics, scientometrics, and web analytics), and Digital Libraries (with a focus on tools, technologies, digital content, metadata, and usability) and scholarly communication. She is also an active researcher in Open Science, particularly in areas such as open access, open data, and research data management. As a certified trainer in Data Stewardship for Open Science, she has contributed significantly to capacity building in this field. In addition to her academic roles, Noorhidawati serves as the Chief Editor of the Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science (MJLIS), which is indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and other international indexing platforms. She is also an editorial board member of Public Library Quarterly. She is a member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) and the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). Noorhidawati’s expertise has been nationally recognised, and since 2022, she has served as a subject matter expert in MyCite Scientific Journal Evaluation, underscoring her leadership in the evaluation and advancement of scholarly communication in Malaysia.

DR. AMIRAH SHAZANA BINTI MAGLI

Dr. Amirah Shazana Magli is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya, specialising in Family Economics and Management. Her research focuses on financial well-being, financial vulnerability and financial literacy, particularly among B40 households in Malaysia. Her scholarly work has been widely published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, including Sustainability, PLOS ONE and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. She has also authored book chapters addressing financial security, financial stress and the economic resilience of low-income communities. Her scientific interests include financial behaviour, policy management and the role of FinTech in financial inclusion. She has received multiple academic awards, including the Graduate-on-Time (GOT) Award and the Gold Award at the Professional Inventor Competition for her research on financial vulnerability models. She has also been recognised for her innovative teaching methodologies, earning the Silver Award at the i-Succeed: Innovative Learning Nexus Competition. Dr. Amirah Shazana is an active consultant and industry collaborator, contributing to financial literacy initiatives and policy-making aimed at enhancing financial security for vulnerable populations.
