ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MD AZALANSHAH BIN MD SYED

Md Azalanshah Md Syed is an Associate Professor at the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies (1st class) from University of Malaya; Master of Creative Arts (Screen Production) from Flinders University; and PhD in Communication Studies from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. In recent years, he has served as Coordinator for the Master of Media Studies Programme (2015–2016; 2024-2026), Head of Department (2017–2021), Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia (2020-2025), Deputy Dean of Value Creation and Enterprise (2022–2024), Deputy Dean of Development (2024–2025), Member of the Malaysia–Korea Research Centre (2021–2024), Coordinator for UMHealth Branding & Promotion (2025) and Coordinator for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (2025–2027). He teaches Media, Culture and Society as well as Screen Production with special interest in documentary filmmaking and pre-production research. His documentary project on Mak Yong (2015) and Sultan Abu Bakar of Johore (2006) was funded by FINAS and Ministry of Arts, Cultural and Heritage. His research interests cover the fields of Asian popular culture mainly on soap opera/serial television drama, gender issues and Malay studies. Currently, he involves in ongoing research project on lifestyle, vaping addiction and drug abuse among teenagers in Malaysia. His authored and co-authored articles has appeared in various high impacts academic journals. In 2021, his interdisciplinary research team won silver award and award of merit in Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE2021) with their mobile application, CHD self-care that was designed for Coronary Heart Disease patient’s prescribed rehabilitation. It is a medical humanities project funded by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS). Md Azalanshah was appointed as the coordinator of the Journalism on Campus programme (2011-2013) - industry collaboration between the New Straits Times, University of Malaya and Ministry of Higher Education; Syndicated Screening Panel for TV Program Acquisition, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM); Associate Member - The Communications and Multimedia Content Forum; and member of the Research Fund Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education (2020-2021). His community involvement was highlighted through an industry+NGO collaboration between the Institut Onn Jaafar, Department of Media and Communication Studies and Astro Awani for the Merdeka63 Campaign #KitajagaMalaysia PSA video series in conjunction with Malaysia's 63rd Independence Day celebration. https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/kitajagamalaysia. ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. MD. HASANUZZAMAN

Ts. Dr. Md. Hasanuzaman is a Chartered Engineer, UK and working as Associate Professor at the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He was listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University & Elsevier since 2020 to 2024; Top 4 Scientists in Malaysia (Energy Engineering), Engineering & Technology, AD Scientific Index 2025. He is recipient of AUA Scholars Award 2023-2024, Excellence Bangladeshi Academician Award 2024, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Awrad 2023, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Certificate 2021. Dr. Hasan served as the Programme Coordinator Master of Renewable Energy, Double Degree Programme with Master of Energy Science, Kyoto University, Japan from April 2012 to September 2020. He earned his PhD and an M. Eng. Sc. from the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia and a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. He is a recipient of UM Excellence Award 2012 for his outstanding achievement in his PhD; merit Scholarship from Bangladesh Scholarship Council and Nippon Foundation, Japan in 2003-2004. Dr. Hasan’s research interests include Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Thermal, Energy and Buildings, Energy Policy, Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles, Sustainability and Carbon Pricing. He is an Associate Editor of the Alexandria Engineering Journal, Elsevier; Guest Editor of Renewable Energy. His 2 books: (1) Technologies for Solar Thermal Energy, 2022 and (2) Energy for Sustainable Development, 2020 published by Elsevier.

DR. AHMAD BIN YUSSUF

Ahmad Yussuf is a Senior Lecturer in the Islamic Education Programme at the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Education from the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Yarmouk University in Jordan. Additionally, he obtained a Master's degree and a Licentiate degree, both in Usuluddin (Quranic Exegesis and Sciences), from al-Azhar University in Egypt. His expertise lies in the field of Islamic Education, Teaching al-Quran, Quranic Studies, and Educational Technology. Furthermore, he has a keen interest in Arabic language studies, particularly in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and has experience in editing Arabic-Islamic manuscripts. Beyond his specialization in Islamic Studies and Islamic Education, Ahmad Yussuf has a passion for Information and Communication Technology, particularly web-based database programming. He has designed and developed a system utilizing web-based applications for managing teaching practicum using PHP scripting language and MySQL database. Additionally, he holds certifications as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE), Microsoft Educator Trainer, Adobe Creative Educator, and Apple Teacher.
