ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. DR. LIM KOK SING

Kok-Sing Lim received his B.Eng in Telecommunication from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya in 2008 and his Ph.D. in Physics from the same university in 2012. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Photonics Research Centre, University of Malaya. His research interests include Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG), Optical Measurement and Instrumentation, Spatial Division Multiplexing Technology and medical laser devices. Currently, he is actively involved in the development an optical remote sensor for oil palm fruit ripeness assessment. He is a corporate member of Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), a registered Professional Engineer (Telecommunication) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a senior member of IEEE. He was given the ICO/ICTP Gallieno Denardo Award in 2020.

DR. PETRINA TAN TJIN YI

Dr Petrina Tan is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya (UM). She holds a PhD and an LL.M (Corporate & Financial Services Law) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) as well as an LL.B (Hons)(Distinction), equivalent to a First Class Honours degree, from UM. She was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to pursue a PhD at NUS and was conferred the PhD in July 2023. Her doctoral thesis examined the regulation of the alternative market listing regime by selected stock exchanges in Asia. Her prior research on retail investor protection and institutional investor stewardship has been published as journal articles in the Erasmus Law Review, Asian Journal of Comparative Law and the Journal of Malaysian and Comparative Law as well as a book chapter in the edited volume ‘Global Shareholder Stewardship’ published by Cambridge University Press. She has presented at various international and regional conferences. Her research interests include capital market law and policy, company law and corporate governance and regulatory theory more generally. She was previously a corporate lawyer, federal counsel at the Malaysian Attorney General’s Chambers, senior manager at Bursa Malaysia, adjunct research fellow at the National University of Singapore Centre for Banking & Finance Law and Postdoctoral Fellow at the EW Barker Centre for Law & Business, NUS. She was also a sessional tutor at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, where she taught Malaysian company law.

DR. S M KAYSER AZAM

Dr. S. M. Kayser Azam (Member, IEEE) was born in Pabna, Bangladesh. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna, Bangladesh, in 2013, and the M.Sc. research degree in electronics engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2019. With a prestigious Malaysian International Scholarship awarded by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, he achieved the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2024. He is currently working as academic staff in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has experience working as a Telecommunication Power Engineer at Huawei Technologies Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research interests include antenna sensors, chipless RFID, integrated sensing and communication, microwave components, IoT sensors, AI in RF sensing technology, partial discharge diagnosis, critical infrastructure security, etc. His research earned competitive research grants, including international funds. He has authored or coauthored many articles in top-tier journals and at reputable international conferences. Some of his research works have been recognized with best paper awards. He has served as a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, IEEE Access, and Elsevier's Measurement. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), U.K.
