Assoc. Prof. Dr Nor Fadhilah Mohamad is an ophthalmologist sub-specialising in neuro-ophthalmology and has a strong background in clinical practice and education. She completed her fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in London in 2012, where she gained expertise in managing complex neuro-ophthalmological conditions. Dr. Nor Fadhilah is the Postgraduate Programme Coordinator at the Department of Ophthalmology. In this role, she oversees the training and development of postgraduate students, ensuring that the programme supports academic and clinical excellence. She is also involved in shaping ophthalmology training in Malaysia, contributing to advancing education and professional standards in the field. Her clinical and academic interests include optic neuropathies and improving patient-centred approaches to care. Dr. Nor Fadhilah has shared her work at various conferences, reflecting her dedication to advancing knowledge and improving clinical practices. show more »Nurul Asmaa Akmal is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Malay Studies, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She completed her PhD at Universiti Malaya. Her research interests encompass waste management, Malay cleaners, 3D workers, and Malay socio-cultural studies. She has published several journal articles focusing on waste management and the dynamics of 3D workers. Her current research endeavors are related to social labelling, quality of life, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
show more »Sadia Rahman received her doctoral degree in International Relations from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan in 2022. She pursued her MA from Presidency University and BA from Calcutta University, India. Before joining Universiti Malaya Rahman worked as an Assistant Professor at Atatürk University, Türkiye in 2023. Presently, she is a lecturer at the Department of International and Strategic Studies, with her research interests primarily focusing on International Relations, Global Governance, Human Rights, China Studies (China's domestic/ethnic policies and foreign policy), Cross-Strait Relations (Regional Security Issues) and South Asia. Her academic achievements include receiving prestigious scholarships such as the MOFA Taiwan fellowship and MOE doctoral scholarship from the ROC government. She obtained a grant from the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy for her project on human rights, further highlighting her dedication to impactful research. In 2021, Rahman was awarded the Outstanding Student Award by the ROC government for her exceptional academic accomplishments. In addition to her academic pursuits, Rahman serves as the Associate Editor of the Asian Journal of Interdisciplinary Research, showcasing her active involvement in the scholarly community. She has also been a participant in the XUAR workshop a European Funded (EU) project, including presenting her work in several international academic conferences.
