ASSOCIATE PROF. SR DR. MOHD SUHAIMI BIN MOHD DANURI

Mohd Suhaimi Mohd Danuri graduated from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1995 with a Diploma in Quantity Surveying & in 1997 with a Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Honours). In August 2003, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Construction Law (MConstrLaw). About ten years later in Jun 2013, he graduated from the Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia with a PhD in Business Law. Prior to his lecturing appointment, he had worked with several consultants, precaster and construction companies. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya since 2003 and promoted to associate professor in 2020. He was the Head of the Department of Quantity Surveying from 1st April 2006 to 8th July 2007, and in August 2016, he has been appointed again to serve as the Head of the Department of Quantity Surveying on 2-years term until August 2018, and reappointed to serve until 26 May 2019. He is a registered Consultant Quantity Surveyor (CQS) with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia, Member of The Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (MRISM), Associate Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (ACIArb) and Member of Institute of Value Management Malaysia. He was the academic advisor for a UK franchised programme, run by a private academic institution in Malaysia. He serves as external examiner for several academic programmes in Malaysia and is actively involved in various committees and programmes under the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia, Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia. His main research interests are in the areas of procurement and construction law. He has published over 50 articles in journals and conference proceedings, and published his first single-author book in 2021, in addition to the other 2 co-authored books previously published in 2015 and 2017. Apart from academic profile, he is currently a member of the Registration & Qualification Committee, deputy chairman for Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) Sub-Committee, under the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM). He has also served several ministries and government agencies to give advice on technical matters, and occasionally appointed as a committee member for Disciplinary and Investigation Committee setup as a result of any official disciplinary complaint lodged to the BQSM.

PROF. DR. SEE MEE HOONG

Professor Dr. See Mee-Hoong Professor Dr. See Mee-Hoong is an esteemed senior lecturer at the University of Malaya and a dedicated Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the University Malaya Medical Center (UMMC). Graduating with her undergraduate medical degree from UPM in 2003, she continued her academic excellence by earning her Master's Degree in Surgery (General Surgery) from the University of Malaya in May 2011 and obtained her fellowship in Breast Oncoplastic training from 2012 to 2015 in Universiti Malaya and Mahidol University, Thailand. Currently, she is nationally registered as a Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon. Her commitment to medical education and clinical practice led her to join the University Malaya Medical Faculty in 2012, where she specialized as a clinical lecturer focusing on Breast Oncoplastic Surgery. Dr. See further honed her skills as an honorary fellow at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2013, and later completed advanced training in minimally invasive techniques and Cryoablation at Kameda Medical Centre under Dr. Eisuke Fukuma in 2016. In 2022, Dr. See underwent robotic breast surgery training at Chang Hua Christian Medical Centre, Taichung, Taiwan. She has since pioneered minimally invasive breast surgeries at UMMC, offering patients the benefits of early recovery, smaller scars, better aesthetic outcomes, and comparable oncological results. A pioneer in Malaysia, she introduced 2D and 3D endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) as early as 2019 and pioneer the FIRST MALAYSIA Robotic NSM with immediate implant reconstruction in 2025 . She has also been elected as a council member of Breast Surgical International in 2024, marking significant milestones in her leadership and expertise. Dr. See serves as the clinical head of the Breast Surgery Unit at UMMC (currently known as the Breast and Endocrine Unit), where she leads a team committed to providing high-quality care to patients. Her research interests span Clinical Breast Surgical Oncology, including Oncoplastic Surgery, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Breast Surgery, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), and Intraoperative Radiotherapy (IORT). She has published over 70 scientific papers, led the development of Decision Aids in Breast Reconstruction, and is actively involved in multiple clinical trials, including the TARGIT-B trial. Dr. See is also actively engaged in advancing artificial intelligence (AI) in breast cancer diagnosis. She is currently collaborating with Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea, on a clinical trial exploring AI applications for breast cancer diagnostics and treatment planning. A driving force in Dr. See's work is her passion for uniting Southeast Asian and Asian breast surgeons through knowledge sharing and collaboration. She spearheads this effort through the Asian Breast Surgery Forum (ABSF – an ECHO Project), which she leads in collaboration with the University of New Mexico’s Project ECHO®. The forum connects 12 Asian countries, fostering the exchange of expertise and best practices in breast surgery. Dr. See is actively involved in various international surgical organizations, including the International Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (IOPBS) and the International Endoscopic and Robotic Breast Surgery (IERBS) societies, contributing to the global advancement of breast surgical practices. Currently, Dr. See serves as the Deputy Head of the Visibility Unit in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Malaya. Her leadership and vision continue to impact the field of breast surgery, both regionally and globally, as she remains dedicated to enhancing surgical standards, research, and patient outcomes.

DR. SYED BAHARI RAMADZAN SYED ADNAN

Dr. Syed Bahari Ramadzan Bin Syed Adnan is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Physics Department, Faculty of Science. He completed his Ph.D. in the subject of Material Science. His research is dedicated to advancing inorganic materials for energy storage applications. He specializes in ceramic electrolytes and electrodes for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and magnesium-ion batteries, with a particular focus on sustainable materials. His research has garnered significant attention, evidenced by over 556 citations, an h-index of 14, and an i10-index of 24 on Google Scholar (as of 2024). This impact is further solidified by a publication record of 39 research papers, a granted research patent (A method for synthesizing nano ionic sodium zinc silicate"), and the successful acquisition of six research grants (as Principal Investigator) from Universiti Malaya (RU grants) and the Malaysian government (FRGS). Notably, his research on developing a clay-based battery electrolyte also received media coverage in 2023, highlighting its public significance. He has also excelled in research competitions, securing two gold medals in the Material Technology Challenge 7.0 and Pre-University Matriculation Innovation Competition in 2022, and a bronze medal in the Invention, Innovation, and Design Exposition (iiDeX) in 2015 and 2022. Beyond research, he has  been actively involved in the society and academic community, serving in roles such as Committee Member in Institute Fizik Malaysia, Member of Malaysian Solid-State Science and Technology as well as in the National STEM Association and Associated Chief Editor in an international STEM journal.His leadership experience, including serving as Deputy Director (Research and Development,2017-2022) and Acting Director in PASUM (2018), as well as participation in numerous department and faculty committees, demonstrates his contributions to the university and the broader community. This engagement, combined with awards like the Excellence Service Award in 2018 and 2021, attest to the recognition of his contributions. Moreover, his involvement in local and international collaborations as well as industry attachments demonstrates his ability to secure external funding and potential for future research excellence.
