Sameem Abdul Kareem is an academic at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She started her career as a Lecturer in the Insititute of Preparatory Studies, ITM (now known as UiTM) in 1986 after graduating with a B. Sc.(Hons.) in Mathematics from the University of Malaya, in the same year. Sameem obtained her M.Sc. in Computing from the University of Wales, Cardiff (now known as the University of Cardiff) in 1992. She subsequently embarked on a career in the University of Malaya from 1993 onwards. She obtained her PhD in 2002; her current research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Machine Learning, Data Analytics/Mining, Image Processing and Biomedical Informatics. She was the Deputy Dean (Undergraduate) at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, from 2001 to 2008 and the Deputy Dean (Postgraduate) from 2014 to 2016. Sameem has successfully supervised a number of Master and PhD candidates and acted as Internal and External Examiners both in and outside Malaysia.
show more »Busyra Binta Salihin berasal dari Kelantan, dan mendapat pendidikan awal di Sekolah Rendah Islam ABIM Al Hikmah Kota Bharu sebelum melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat menengah di Maahad Muhammadi Perempuan (Pasir Pekan) Merupakan graduan dalam bidang Bahasa dan Linguistik Arab dari Fakulti Bahasa dan Linguistik, Universiti Malaya pada tahun 2020. Pernah berkhidmat di bawah syarikat Arabic Language and Consultancy (ALC), Nilam Puri semasa menjalankan latihan industri. Mula berkhidmat sebagai pendidik sejurus tamat pengajian iaitu pada Februari 2020 sebagai guru di Taman Tahfiz Darus Salam Telipot, Kota Bharu dan seterusnya mendapat tawaran sebagai guru di Yayasan Islam Kelantan pada bulan Ogos 2020. Semasa berkhidmat di bawah Yayasan Islam Kelantan telah menyambung pengajian dalam bidang Pendidikan di Institusi Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPGM) Kota Bharu dan berjaya memperolehi Diploma Pascasiswazah Pendidikan (Bahasa Arab Sekolah Menengah) pada tahun 2022. Seterusnya menjawat jawatan sebagai Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pendidikan di Universiti Malaya pada Februari 2024. Berpengalaman dalam menyediakan modul bahasa Arab bagi pelajar sekolah Rendah dan Menengah, menyediakan video serta dan bahan bantu Mengajar digital Bahasa Arab.
show more »Dr. Nur Mazidah Che Ghani is trained in the field of Architecture and Urban Design. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Universiti Malaya (2025). She was trained at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, USA for her Masters of Architecture from the School of Graduate Architecture and Urban Design (GAUD) (2009). While in New York, she has interned at Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) and involved in research projects in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. Her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Architecture (First Class Honours) was from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia (2005). She has been in practice with Architecture Offices with experiences handling residential and commercial projects in Kuala Lumpur. She was a recipient of the Fellowship Award from MOHE and Universiti Malaya (2021) and since then has embarked in scholarly research focusing on Urban Design, Place Character, Place Branding, City Image and Identity as well as Phenomenology of Cities and Communities. Her Doctoral thesis is titled "A City Branding Framework in Enhancing PLace Image and Identity Characteristics of Cities in Malaysia: A Case Study of Kuala Lumpur". She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Built Environment.
