Memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana Muda (B.A) di dalam bidang Syariah Islamiah di Universiti Al-Azhar , Tanta ,Cairo ,EGYPT pada tahun 1999. Bertugas sebagai Guru Bahasa Arab di Fakulti Bahasa Arab dan Bahasa-Bahasa Timur Tengah Universiti Malaya pada 2009. Ir. Dr. Hwa-Jen YAP is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. This has primarily been applied to Southeast Asia’s maritime security governance, but has since broadened out to consider the Indo-Pacific.
