ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. LEE YEW KONG

Dr Lee is an Associate Professor at the Department of Primary Care Medicine, University of Malaya, and Head of the eLearning at the Faculty of Medicine’s UMeHealth Unit. His research interests include the influence of patient values on health decisions, strategies to promote collaborative, patient-centered care in low resource settings, and developing aids and tools to support shared decision making for various preference-sensitive health conditions. He has worked across a broad range of health topics including diabetes, cancer, genetics, HIV/AIDS, indigenous health in Sabah and Sarawak, and migrant worker health. He leads several eLearning and eHealth projects including MyViP@UM (virtual patients for medical education) and VISIT (a randomized trial to elicit patient concerns through electronic medical records to improve primary care consultations). He sits on the editorial boards for BMC Primary Care Medicine and BMC Medical Education.

DR. MD SHAHABUDDIN AHMMAD

I have been working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. I am pioneering research in energy, environment, supply chain modeling, and metallurgy, with a focus on optimization, techno-economic analysis, and lifecycle assessment. I also teach key courses in Mechanical Engineering, such as Fluid Mechanics, Heat & Mass Transfer, and Thermodynamics, while developing research grants and establishing collaborative partnerships.Previously, I worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), conducted research in the area of low-carbon technologies, particularly on hydrogen energy vectors. Before joining NUS, I completed my role as a Research Fellow at HILT-CRC and Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2) projects at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Before joining Swinburne, I worked for the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) project at Federation University, Australia and the Waste to Energy and Resource Recovery project at the UNSW, Sydney. I received my PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University with the prestigious Postgraduate Publication Award (PPA). I obtained my MPhil and bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide and DUET Bangladesh.I am consistently listed among the world's top 2.0% scientists in the subfield of energy, published by Elsevier and Stanford University since 2021. I am a certified chemical, mechanical, and material engineer from the world's top professional bodies with extensive research experience in process modelling (Aspen Plus, HYSYS and HSC Chemistry), hydrogen energy, gasification, solar energy, green iron and steel, biofuel, CFD, technoeconomics and LCA. I have published over 60 research articles, receiving over 4000 citations with an h-index of 28 (Google Scholar). Throughout my career, I have supervised dozens of research students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. DR. LIM WEI KANG

Dr. Lim Wei Kang is a medical lecturer at the Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. He is a graduate of Cardiff University (UK) and received his postgraduate training in general paediatrics at Universiti Malaya. He completed his general paediatric neurology fellowship in Malaysia and underwent a clinical fellowship in paediatric movement disorders and neuromodulation at the Hospital for Sick Children, Canada.  Currently he is practising as a consultant general paediatrician and paediatric neurologist in Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, with special interests in paediatric movement disorders and deep brain stimulation.
