DR. MOHAMED HISHAM BIN HANIFA

Dr. Mohamed Hisham Hanifa is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya. He holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from INCEIF, and his research focuses on Islamic finance, capital markets, and taxation. He has published in journals such as Journal of Economic Surveys, Sustainability and the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, with notable recognition including an award from the Emerald Literati Network. Dr. Hisham has also contributed to consultancy work and curriculum development in Islamic finance and is actively involved in research and academic service at the university. ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. ZARINA BINTI ZAKARIA

Dr. Zarina Zakaria is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business & Economics, University of Malaya. She received her PhD of Business & Management from the Nottingham University Business School, United Kingdom, in 2011. She obtained her Masters of Business Administration (Accountancy) from the University of Malaya, and her Bachelor in Accountancy from Cardiff Business School, United Kingdom.  She is currently the Audit & Risk Management Committee of Pelaburan Mara Berhad and the Chairperson for the Board of Trustee of the Malaysian Accountancy Research and Education Foundation (MAREF) as well as a member of the Interpretations Committee for the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). She is also a member of MICPA Education & Technical Committee since 2017. She is an associate member of MICPA, MIA and ACCA and during her tenure as the MIA Council, she sat in various Committees including MIA Disciplinary Committee, MIA Examination Committee and the MIA Audit & Risk Management Committee. She has published numerous articles and book chapters in her area of expertise including in the Accounting Forum and Management Decision. Her research interests include sustainability, accountability, and governance. DR. SHEHDA R. S. ABUISAAC

Abuisaac is an academic, translator, and interpreter currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Malaya. He holds extensive expertise in translation studies, intercultural communication, TESOL, and Arabic-English linguistics. Formerly the head of a translation unit at an English language center, he has designed and taught courses that integrate language, technology, and critical thinking to enhance students’ communicative and analytical skills.  Abuisaac’s research interests span Qur’anic translation, pragma-translation, intercultural rhetoric, discourse analysis of literary texts, and communication within cross-cultural contexts. He also specializes in syntax and semantics, focusing on the interface between structure and meaning across languages. His academic work emphasizes the role of language in shaping understanding, identity, and dialogue across cultures. He has supervised postgraduate research on media language, pragmatics, and cross-cultural communication, and is committed to learner-centered, research-informed teaching practices. His scholarly approach blends theory and practice, fostering both linguistic precision and cultural awareness. Fluent in Arabic and English, and experienced in both academic instruction and professional interpretation,  Abuisaac continues to contribute to the fields of language, translation, andintercutlrual  communication through teaching, research, and scholarly collaboration.
