DR. AZEANA BINTI ZAHARI

Azeana Zahari qualified as Bachelor of Science (2007) and Master of Science (2010) from the University Malaya, Malaysia. She went for a research attachment under SLAB/SLAI fellowship at The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research), Karachi, Pakistan in 2015. She completed her doctoral degree in Natural Product and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Malaya in 2016. Having obtained the qualifications, she was appointed as Senior Lecturer at Department of Chemistry, Faculty Science, University of Malaya. She is actively involved in teaching of the undergraduates, postgraduates and active member in her department, holding a number of administrative posts and task force members. She has published extensively in many acclaimed international journals such as Scientific Reports, Planta Medica, Heterocycles, Molecules, Phytochemistry Letters, Natural Product Communications and Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine.  Her areas of interest are extraction and isolation of natural product compounds, structural elucidation using 1D, 2D NMR, UV-vis, LCMS and IR. Recent advance natural product research that she interested in is Molecular networking as dereplication strategy. Subsequently, she undergo research training entitled dereplication of alkaloids from Ochreinauclea Maingayi by integration of molecular networking and LC-MS/MS fragmentation under the framework of the LIA  (Laboratoire International Associe) programme established under CNRS, ICSN and the University of Malaya at University Paris-Sud, University Paris-Saclay, France in 2018. She has been awarded with a number of research grants as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator.  She is member of Malaysian Natural Product Society as part of her contribution to Malaysia as whole.

DR. NINA SAKINAH BINTI AHMAD ROFAIE

Dr. Nina Sakinah Ahmad Rofaie is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Decision Science at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics from the same institution, where her doctoral research focused on evaluating the performance of LED road lighting compared to traditional HPSV lighting using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Since completing her Ph.D., Dr. Nina has continued to specialize in performance measurement, particularly with the DEA approach. Her current research interests have expanded to include Halal talent development and the growth of the Halal industry in Malaysia. Additionally, she has been invited to lecture at both local and international institutions, sharing her expertise in quantitative research methods and data analysis. Her dedication to rigorous research and academic excellence is evident in her contributions to both the academic and professional communities. Dr. Nina's research portfolio reflects her commitment to addressing significant societal and economic issues through data-driven insights and innovative approaches.

DR. MOHD HAFIZAN BIN MD. ISA

Dr. Mohd Hafizan Md Isa is a senior lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Malaya, combining academic expertise with industry experience. He has worked with consultancy and international engineering firms, as well as in technical and academic support roles involving project management and technical design. His research focuses on sustainable construction materials and soil stabilization, with a strong emphasis on recycling waste and industrial byproducts for infrastructure applications. He is actively engaged in projects that promote sustainable construction practices, including the development of environmentally friendly materials and innovative solutions for improving infrastructure performance and durability. His areas of interest include Geotechnical Engineering, Ground Improvement, and Geomaterials, and his work seeks to merge environmental sustainability with practical engineering solutions to create greener, more resilient, and resource-efficient infrastructure.
