Dr Bushroa started her career in 2004 as an academician at the Dept of Engineering Design and Manufacture, Universiti Malaya (UM). Later in 2013, she joined Dept of Mechanical Engineering, UM. She graduated her B. Eng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK in 1997; Master of Engineering Science as well as PhD from Universiti Malaya in 2004 and 2012, respectively. She was previously the Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering that served in between 2020 to 2021. As it stands now, she is the head of the Centre of Advanced Manufacturing and Material Processing (AMMP). She is also an active member in the newly established Centre for Excellence in Aerospace Innovations under UM.  She has been a member and a Chartered Engineer, IET, UK since 2011.  In 2015, she pursued her post-doctoral research program in University of California, Los Angeles, USA with a scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. In the middle of 2016, she was promoted as Associate Professor. In the same year, she was honored with a Professional Engineer by the Board of Engineer Malaysia. Currently, she is the professor in Surface Engineering. She explores fundamental, application, technology and commercialization in its related field of study. Lately, she extends her research towards computer vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in analyzing samples such as artefacts collected in the museum. She is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications in ISI, Scopus and books with H-index reaches above 30.  Thus far, she managed to secure several awards and medals, not to mention local and international funds. She is passionate in any research and knowledge that impact the world.
