Prof. Datin Ir Dr Bushroa is an accomplished educator and researcher with over 20 years of teaching experience across Surface Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Communication and Critical Thinking, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She earned her B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, in 1997. She completed her Master of Engineering Science at Universiti Malaya (UM) in 2004, undertaking collaborative research with Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan, and obtained her PhD from UM, Malaysia in 2012. She pursued post-doctoral research at UCLA, USA under a prestigious scholarship from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. A Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) since 2011, she is also a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia since 2016. She has held leadership roles as Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and previously served as President of SUKMANITA at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. As an active member of the Centre of Advanced Manufacturing and Material Processing (AMMP), she has led the group for several years.
