Assoc. Prof. Dr. Baharudin Ibrahim is a distinguished scholar and researcher in Clinical Pharmacy, specializing in respiratory and infectious diseases. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy (Clinical Pharmacy) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2005 and 2007, respectively. In 2011, he completed his PhD in metabolomics and respiratory medicine at the University of Manchester. Dr. Ibrahim has showcased his work at numerous international conferences and published research in reputable journals. He previously held key positions, including Master of Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator and Chairman of Clinical Pharmacy at USM. He has also served as Deputy Dean of Student Affairs and Deputy Dean of Research and Postgraduate, actively contributing to the ideation and entrepreneurship training program for students and staff at Universiti Malaya. His research primarily focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, precision medicine and omics, aimed at identifying disease biomarkers, as well as metabolites and genes used for predicting drug efficacy and potential adverse reactions. |
