Biography | |
Obtained her Doctoral degree in literature from the Academy of Malay Studies, University of Malaya. She also possesses an MA in World Literature from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, University Putra Malaysia, and a BA in English language and literature from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Her areas of expertise include Postcolonial literature, mimicry, Malay identity, Malayness, and Nationalism in Malay literature and Malaysian literature in English. She has also published articles on language studies, education, and leadership skills. Her teaching experiences include foundation, diploma, degree, Intensive English Program, CALL, and IELTS, TOEFL and MUET preparation courses. She has taught various courses such as English for academic purposes, Technical Writing, Mastering English, Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, English literature for IGCSE, Introduction to World literature and Introduction to Linguistics. In the Academy of Malay Studies, University of Malaya, she has taught Modern Malay Poetry, Basic Theory of Literature, Current Issues in Malay Studies, and Malay Studies and Society. |
