Lai Kuan Tham is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Universiti Malaya. She is a member of the Centre for Applied Biomechanics. She obtained her PhD, MEngSc, and BEng in Biomedical Engineering from Universiti Malaya. Her research interests span widely across the areas of biomechanics, particularly in human movement analysis, physical activity monitoring, and medical diagnosis based on wearable technologies and artificial intelligence. Current research includes gait and movement analysis in lower limb amputees, early detection of epilepsy, and scoliosis classification. |
