DR. MOHAMED REZAL BIN ABDUL AZIZ

Graduate of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr Rezal, completed Basic Surgical Training in Midwestern Regional Hospital, Limerick, Ireland. He is the first Malaysian awarded, the Irish Scholarship for Research Fellow in University of Milwaukee and presented his research on Neuroblastoma in the Annual Congress Surgical meeting in New Orleans in 2003. He completed the MRCS(Ire) in 2007 and further obtained a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery in Strasbourg, France in 2006. He pursued in Master of Surgery in University Malaya, National Colorectal Surgery Fellowship and in 2022, completed Subspecialty Training in Advanced Colorectal and Peritoneal Malignancy with special interest in Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) with Hyperthemic Intraoperative Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Pressurized IntraPeritioneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) in HUKM and National Cancer Centre in Singapore and Singapore General Hospital respectively. He sits as a member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology, Academy of Medicine Malaysia,Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons and International Society for the study of Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP).

PROF. DR. MAKMOR BIN TUMIN

Dr Makmor Tumin is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, Public Administration and Development Studies, specializing in Political Science, focusing on Political Philosophy (Islam and the West) and Civil Society. Having served under Universiti Malaya since 1997, there are 55 books credited under his name. Several selected published books of his include Essentials of Theology and Muslim Political Philosophy, Western Political and Economic Thought, Contemporary Western Political Philosophy: Figures and Metaphysics, Contemporary Islamic Political Thought: Syariah and Philosophical Leaning (co-editor) and Civil Society in Malaysia: Issues and Challenges (edited), all of which are in Malay. Dr. Makmor is blind. His eyesight began to deteriorate at the age of 11, and at 45, he became completely blind. He is currently serving as an Executive Board member of the ASEAN University Network - Disability and Public Policy (AUN-DPPnet) and the Chief Editor for a People with Disabilities (PwDs) Magazine ("Mainstreamer") which is funded by the Nippon Foundation under AUN-DPPnet.

DR. CHAN CHOW KHUEN

Firstly, I am Chan Chow Khuen, a researcher and lecturer from Biomedical Engineering Department, Universiti Malaya. I have graduated the PhD study from National University of Singapore with the focus on Computer Modelling and Simulation for Human Biomechanics. The current research area is artificial intelligence in biomechanics with the focus on machine learning and deep learning with the big dataset particularly with the biosignal from human. Some of the biosignals are electromyography (EMG), EEG (electroencephalogram), TCD (transcranial Doppler) and also medical images. On top of that, we develop computer algorithms for deep learning in facilitating the medical practitioners to expedite and detect abnormalities regarding to human health. Dr. Chan has interests and currently developing on the human pose estimation using portable modern technologies.
