DR. SITI ZAIDAH BINTI ZAINUDDIN

Siti Zaidah Zainuddin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language. Her primary research interests lie in discourse studies, particularly genre analysis in both written and spoken academic discourse and corpus linguistics. In the field of language learning, she works on second language writing using several perspectives and frameworks as well teacher-learner interaction. Her publications address various topics on academic discourse practices including language and rhetorical strategies in oral defense and thesis writing by postgraduate students, and teacher agency. Zaidah holds several research grants focusing on genre studies in academic and legal discourses and teacher’s agency in language classrooms. She teaches both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In addition to teaching and research, Zaidah has served as a UG program coordinator, Industrial Training coordinator for the English Language Department and the coordinator and consultant for various language programs with private organisations.

DR. PURABI MAZUMDAR

Dr. Purabi Mazumdar is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Research in Biotechnology for Agriculture (CEBAR), Universiti Malaya. She earned her Master’s degree in Botany from Gauhati University and a Doctoral degree in Bioenergy from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), India. Dr. Mazumdar’s research focuses on urban farming, enhancing crop nutritional quality, and crop protection through customized UV radiation, as well as agronomic, molecular, and biochemical strategies. She leads projects funded by grants from CREST, the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), and industry partners. Her current work emphasizes advanced crop protection and urban farming systems, including aquaponics, hydroponics, and aeroponics. Driven by the pursuit of sustainable agricultural practices, Dr. Mazumdar aims to answer a critical research question: How can we achieve sustainable, nutrient-dense, and clean food systems that promote health and well-being for all?

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. LIM GHEE SEONG

Associate Professor Dr. Lim Ghee Seong graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 2008. He then pursued his Master in Clinical Dentistry, specializing in Restorative Dentistry at Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, where he graduated with distinction. He has also been awarded the International Training Fellowship (Prosthodontics) from the Royal College of Surgeons (England). His passion for teaching then led him to join the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya and he has since become a valuable lecturer and clinical specialist in prosthodontics in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. He is currently the coordinator for removable prosthodontic undergraduate year 5, a member of the undergraduate module on occlusion and the multidisciplinary team for the TMD clinic. He has previous membership in the British Society for Restorative Dentistry, the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry and he is currently a lifetime member of the Malaysian Association for Prosthodontics. Currently, he is also the examiner for the Restorative Specialty Membership Examinations, Royal College of Surgeons, England. He has authored and co-authored handful of both local and international journal articles. His research interest is in clinical removable prosthodontics, regenerative dentistry, dental material and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD)
