Dr. Muhammad Ridha bin Ali Huddin merupakan Pensyarah Kanan di Jabatan Bahasa Arab dan Bahasa-bahasa Timur Tengah, Fakulti Bahasa dan Linguistik, Universiti Malaya. Beliau juga ialah bapa kepada lima orang anak. Beliau mendapat pendidikan awal di Sekolah Kebangsaan Jawi, Pulau Pinang. Beliau kemudian menamatkan persekolahan di SMK Seri Nibong, Pulau Pinang. Beliau menyambung pengajian di Darul Quran JAKIM bagi peringkat Diploma Tahfiz al-Quran dan al-Qiraat (Syariah) pada 2009-2012. Kemudian, bagi Ijazah Sarjana Muda pula, beliau meneruskan pengajian di Universiti Putra Malaysia (pengkhususan bahasa Arab, minor bahasa Inggeris) di bawah biasiswa Skim Pembiayaan Hafiz JAKIM. Beliau berjaya menamatkan pengajian Sarjana Muda dalam masa 2 tahun setengah sahaja iaitu pada akhir 2012 hingga awal 2015. Beliau meneruskan pengajian bagi peringkat Sarjana (Masters) di Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) dalam bidang Linguistik Arab di bawah biasiswa KPT-Mybrain. Tesis master beliau adalah dalam bidang Fonetik dan Fonologi Arab. Beliau berjaya bergraduat dalam masanya (graduate on time) iaitu pada tahun 2017. Pada tahun 2018, beliau berjaya ditawarkan fellowship berprestij tinggi iaitu Skim Latihan Akademik Bumiputera oleh Universiti Malaya serta mendapat tajaan penuh daripada Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi bagi pengajian Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (Ph.D) di Universiti Malaya dalam bidang Fonetik dan Fonologi (Arab), serta beliau berjaya menamatkan kedoktorannya secara rasmi pada awal tahun 2024. Dr. Muhammad Ridha juga merupakan pemegang tauliah mengajar al-Quran Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) bagi kategori dewasa dan kanak-kanak sejak tahun 2014. Selain itu, beliau juga merupakan Perunding Hartanah berdaftar dengan Lembaga Penilai, Pentaksir, Ejen Harta Tanah Malaysia (LPPEH) serta mempunyai 4 tahun pengalaman dalam industri hartanah di bawah agensi hartanah PutraHomes Realty, Putrajaya. Beliau juga merupakan Timbalan Pengerusi di KAFA Al-Amin Putrajaya (institusi pendidikan swasta) sejak tahun 2015 hingga kini. Beliau kini sedang aktif berkolaborasi bersama Persatuan Berdaftar/NGO dalam beberapa penyelidikan berkaitan neurolinguistik dan psikolinguistik dalam kalangan kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas (Disleksia) dari aspek literasi bahasa Arab, memori kerja (working memory) dan pemprosesan fonologi berbantukan peralatan klinikal seperti Electroencephalography (EEG) dan functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
show more »Suhana Koting received the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering (2005) from University of Malaya, Malaysia. In 2009, she finished her Master of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering-Pavement Materials Design at University of Malaya. She was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from University of Malaya in 2017. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. Her research interest is in Asphalt Mix Design, Concrete Materials, Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, and Statistical Analysis and Modelling.
show more »Professor Dr FONG Choong Yi is a medical graduate from University of Nottingham, UK. He trained in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology in UK. His UK Paediatric Neurology specialty training include working in tertiary Neurology units at Great Ormond Street Hospital London, Evelina Children’s Hospital London and Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital. He had further subspecialty dual-fellowship training in Paediatric Epilepsy and Paediatric Electroencephalography at Brisbane, Australia (Mater & Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane) and Melbourne, Australia (Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne). He also is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK. He is currently appointed Professor and Senior Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is head of the Paediatric Neurology division from 2014. He developed and oversees the Comprehensive Paediatric Epilepsy evaluation service in University Malaya. He has published numerous peer-reviewed ISI publications. His research interests include paediatric epilepsy, paediatric bone health, paediatric neurology and using novel information technology applications in improving the quality of lives of children with neurological disorders. He also specialises in non-invasive and invasive epilepsy surgery assessment including long-term video-EEG monitoring, intracranial monitoring, electrocorticography and cortical stimulation. In recognition of his excellent service, he was awarded the University of Malaya excellent service award in 2016, 2019 and 2023. He was awarded the national Malaysian Society of Neuroscience Best Publication (Clinical) award in 2017 and the University of Malaya Best Clinical Neuroscience Publication award in 2019. Many of his postgraduate research students under his supervision have also won national research prizes. In 2019, he was awarded the Endeavour Executive Leadership Award by the Australian government. Professor Dr Fong plays an active role in advocation, education and forming collaborations in Child Neurology. Nationally, he is a co-author of the 2017 Malaysian Consensus Guidelines on the Management of Epilepsy, committee member of the 2019 & 2024 Malaysian Consensus Statement of Brain Death and the Malaysia National Specialist Register (NSR) Paediatric Neurology Subspecialty credentialling committee member. He is currently Vice President of Malaysian Society of Neurosciences, executive council member of Malaysian Epilepsy Council and the Malaysian Chapter of Child Neurology and Developmental Paediatrics from 2022-2026. He is a life member of the International Child Neurology Association. He was the treasurer of the Malaysian Chapter of Child Neurology & Developmental Paediatrics from 2014-2016. In the Asian region, he is a member of the Asian Epilepsy Academy (ASEPA) International League against Epilepsy and helps in running epilepsy and EEG workshops throughout the Asian region as a faculty member. He trains many overseas Paediatric Neurology fellows from the Asian region. Internationally, he is also an appointed Task Force member of the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE) on Paediatric Psychiatric Issues of the Commission of Psychiatry and on Research Advocacy of Children of the Commision on Paediatrics from 2017-2021 and 2022-2025.
