Salinah Jaafar adalah pensyarah kanan berjawatan Profesor Madya di Akademi Pengajian Melayu. Memiliki ijazah Sarjana Muda (Bahasa Melayu, 1991), Sarjana (1998) dan Doktor Falsafah (2008) dalam bidang Leksikologi. Beliau telah dihantar ke Pusat Penyelidikan Akademik untuk Bahasa Inggeris (CARE), di Jabatan Bahasa Inggeris di Universiti Birmingham selama 6 bulan semasa pengajian peringkat Doktor Falsafah. Mantan Pengarah Akademi Pengajian Melayu (2020-2022), merupakan seorang pensyarah dan penceramah dalam bidang Kesantunan Berbahasa, Linguistik, dan Terjemahan Bahasa Melayu yang banyak menghasilkan penulisan dan penyelidikan dalam bidang tersebut. Salinah Jaafar banyak menulis artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal berindeks Scopus dan ISI, serta buku ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh penerbit MAPIM. Sangat dedikasi dalam pengajaran dan pendidikan , amat tekun dan berbangga dengan kerjaya yang diceburi serta sentiasa berusaha memberikan kualiti pengajaran dan perkongsian ilmu terbaik kepada masyarakat. Di samping tugas rutin, Salinah Jaafar juga terlibat dalam penyelidikan, penerbitan serta menyertai banyak seminar dan persidangan di dalam dan luar negara. Berdasarkan pengalaman sebagai pentadbir dan ahli pengurusan universiti Malaya dan Akademi Pengajian Melayu, beliau juga terlibat dalam membuat keputusan yang tepat ketika melatih dan mempromosikan staf, dan merangka kurikulum program. Selain itu, dia juga aktif dalam penyelidikan FRGS dalam bidang Pragmatik, Hubungan Etnik, Perkembangan Korpus Melayu, Linguistik Komputer dan Terjemahan Hadis. Beliau telah berkhidmat sebagai pensyarah di Universiti Malaya selama hampir 30 tahun dan sentiasa bersemangat dan penuh minat dan meningkatkan hasil kualiti kerjayanya. Salinah Jaafar is a senior lecturer holding the position of Associate Professor at the Academy of Malay Studies. She holds a Bachelor's degree (Malay Language, 1991), a Master's degree (1998), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree (2008) in the field of Lexicology. She was sent to the Centre for Advanced Research in English (CARE) at the Department of English, University of Birmingham, for six months during her Ph.D. studies. A former Director of the Academy of Malay Studies (2020-2022), she is a lecturer and speaker in the fields of Politeness in Language, Linguistics, and Malay Language Translation, and has produced numerous writings and research in these areas. Salinah Jaafar has written many scholarly articles published in Scopus and ISI indexed journals, as well as academic books published by MAPIM. Highly dedicated to teaching and education, she is diligent and takes great pride in her career, consistently striving to provide the best quality teaching and knowledge-sharing to the community. In addition to her routine duties, Salinah Jaafar is also involved in research, publications, and participates in numerous seminars and conferences both domestically and internationally. Drawing from her experience as an administrator and management member at the University of Malaya and the Academy of Malay Studies, she is also involved in making crucial decisions when training and promoting staff, and in designing program curricula. Additionally, she is actively engaged in FRGS research in the fields of Pragmatics, Ethnic Relations, Malay Corpus Development, Computational Linguistics, and Hadith Translation. She has served as a lecturer at the University of Malaya for nearly 30 years and remains passionate and committed to enhancing the quality of her career outputs.
show more »Dr. Nur Afiqah's research examines institutional-related structures associated with engagement in healthcare, including HIV and Hepatitis C care for people who use drugs (PWUD). This epidemiological work is informed by sociological perspectives which frame the research questions within a wider social, economic and policy environment. Additionally, she has received training in Implementation Science at Yale University. Being an active member of the Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERiA), her current research activities have incorporated a community-based participiatory research (CBPR) component. Using this approach, she engages with local communities of PWUD and NGOs that serve these populations, whose collective views in the design and implementation of health programs are key in developing effective interventions. Additionally, she is actively involved in knowledge-transfer activities, promoting the use of evidence-based practices in real-life settings. She is also interested in drug policies, especially the impact of existing policies on youths and families. Dr Nur Afiqah is a consultant for WHO, UNDP and International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC). She currently serves as the Vice President at the Malaysian AIDS Council.
show more »Dr. Norfaezah Md Khalid is a senior lecturer at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, and a registered counselor with the Malaysian Board of Counsellors. She specializes in counseling and marriage and family therapy. She teaches counseling and psychology courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Furthermore, she also contributes to the design and review of academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Norfaezah has led and collaborated on numerous research projects, including studies in family caregiving, emotional well-being, mental health, and the psychological impact of social vulnerability in urban Malaysia. Her scholarly contributions include books, book chapters, mass media, and peer-reviewed articles in psychology and counseling. Passionate about empowering communities through education and mental health, she is actively involved in training, consultation, and program development at the national level. Her research interests include but are not limited to family and marital studies, career development, mental health, counseling assessment, instrument development, and psychology.
