Dr. Adilah binti Abdul Ghapor is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Statistics from Purdue University, Indiana, and obtained her Doctoral Degree from Universiti Malaya. Her research interest is in Statistical Modeling in Mathematical Sciences, focusing on Missing Values, Outliers, and Parameter Estimation. She also works on the application of statistics, which includes socio-economic impact assessment and issues related to the gig economy.
show more »Dr. Ooi Po Lin is a Clinical Oncologist at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya in 2015 and obtained her Master of Clinical Oncology in 2024, achieving distinction in core sciences. Her clinical and research interests focus on breast, gastrointestinal, and urological malignancies, with expertise in chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and palliative care. Dr. Ooi has contributed to multiple international clinical trials, including PACIFIC-8, ARC-10, DESTINY-LUNG03, and KEYNOTE-B49, and co-authored publications in Annals of Oncology, Annals of General Psychiatry, and Frontiers in Psychology. Actively engaged in academic and professional development, she serves on organizing committees and as moderator for oncology education programs such as the Masterclass in Systemic Therapy, HCC Masterclass, and Navigator Masterclass. Beyond her clinical and academic commitments, she participates in community and faith-based initiatives, including volunteer teaching in Sunday School. Outside of work, Dr. Ooi enjoys staying active through Pilates and pickleball, and is currently learning Japanese as part of her personal growth and cross-cultural interests.
show more »Mohd Edil Abd Sukor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Melbourne, Australia, an MBA from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Shariah from Universiti Malaya. He previously served as the Deputy Dean (Student Affairs) of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (2018-2019) and was awarded the 2003 Best Student Award from the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. He is also a member of the Shariah Committee for AmBank Islamic, Swiss Re Retakaful and Koop Sahabat, and a committee member of the Malaysian Finance Association. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Shariah Committee for Mizuho Bank Malaysia and Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (Labuan Branch). His research interests focus on Islamic Finance, Financial Management and Consumer Finance and has published extensively in reputable international and national journals. He has also secured several research grants, including one from the Johor Corporation Foundation Malaysia, aimed at developing a social and financial literacy manual for primary school students. Additionally, he serves as an Associate Editor of the Capital Market Review journal.
