Md Azalanshah Md Syed is an Associate Professor and the current Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University Malaya. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies (1st class) from University of Malaya; Master of Creative Arts (Screen Production) from Flinders University; and PhD in Media and Communication Studies from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. In recent years, he has served as Coordinator for the Master of Media Studies Programme (2015–2016; 2024-2026), Head of Department (2017–2021), Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia (2020-2025), Deputy Dean of Value Creation and Enterprise (2022–2024), Deputy Dean of Development (2024–2025), Member of the Malaysia–Korea Research Centre (2021–2024), Coordinator for UMHealth Branding & Promotion (2025) and Coordinator for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (2025–2027). He teaches Media and Audience Studies as well as Screen Production with special interest in documentary filmmaking and pre-production research. His documentary project on Mak Yong (2015) and Sultan Abu Bakar of Johore (2006) was funded by FINAS and Ministry of Arts, Cultural and Heritage. His research interests cover the fields of Asian popular culture and consumption mainly on soap opera/serial television drama, gender issues and Malay studies. Currently, he involves in ongoing research project on lifestyle, vaping addiction and drug abuse among teenagers in Malaysia. His authored and co-authored articles has appeared in various high impacts academic journals. In 2021, his interdisciplinary research team won silver award and award of merit in Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE2021) with their mobile application, CHD self-care that was designed for Coronary Heart Disease patient’s prescribed rehabilitation. His book - Budaya Popular Wanita Melayu dan Naratif Kemodenan Global - won the national award Anugerah Buku Ilmiah Popular Terbaik at the 16th MAPIM–KPT Award Ceremony in 2025. Md Azalanshah has held several key roles, including Coordinator of the Journalism on Campus Programme (2011–2013), an industry collaboration between the New Straits Times, the University of Malaya, and the Ministry of Higher Education. He also served as a Syndicated Screening Panel Member for TV Programme Acquisition at Radio Television Malaysia (RTM). In addition, he is an Associate Member of the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum, and has been a consultant for the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Kuala Lumpur and the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) in Jakarta. His community involvement was highlighted through an industry+NGO collaboration between the Institut Onn Jaafar, Department of Media and Communication Studies and Astro Awani for the Merdeka63 Campaign #KitajagaMalaysia PSA video series in conjunction with Malaysia's 63rd Independence Day celebration. His co-produced short documentary on Malaysian social and cultural issues was shortlisted for screening at the Freedom Film Festival in 2018 and 2019. 

Professor Dr Vivek Ajit Singh is a Professor of Orthopaedics and head of the Orthopedic Oncology unit in Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya. He obtained his medical degree from University Malaya in 1984. He worked in Hospital Muar and Mersing before enrolling in University Malaya for Master’s in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his master’s degree in 2001 and was awarded with the Subramaniam Gold Medal for the best clinical master’s student. Subsequently, in 2002 he was awarded with Fellowship from The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Then, he worked in Penang General Hospital as an Orthopaedic surgeon and was awarded with a fellowship scholarship by the Ministry of Health in 2003 to pursue Fellowship Orthopaedic Oncology in Birmingham, UK (The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital). He completed his fellowship in 2004, after which he continued his service in Penang General Hospital. He subsequently joined University Malaya in 2006 and is working there till now. He teaches postgraduate and undergraduate students from the Faculty of Medicine. Prof Vivek has published more than 50 research papers in various medical journals and 2 text-books related to his field of expertise and basic science. He is currently an active member of several international and national professional bodies such as International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS), Asia Pacific Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (APMSTS), East Asia Musculoskeletal Oncology Group (EAMOG), and many more. Besides the clinical field, he is also active in the research field and has won prestigious awards such as The Dr Robert Bauze Trauma Award, P. Balasubramaniam Award, and Tumour Award. Other than his academic accomplishments, he also provides testimonies as an expert witness for various medicolegal cases of insurance claim disputes. As part of his social responsibility and contribution to the society, he also gives healthcare, or more specifically orthopaedic related talks to public and media.

Dr. Rusdi Abd. Rashid is a graduate of University Malaya obtaining the degree MBBS in 1998. He continued with a Masters in Psychological Medicine in University of Malaya and completed his master degree in year 2006. He received  addiction training course  in Turning point , Melbourne in year 2007 and Open Medical Institute , Salzberg , Austria in year 2008. Subsequently, he undergo the fellowship program under  the WHO Collaborating Centre in Korea for Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Community Mental Health in the same  year. He is currently a senior lecturer in the University of Malaya and  the chief coordinator of the University Malaya Center for Addiction Sciences(UMCAS) and coordinator for substance abuse treatment services, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). Dr Rusdi has involved with most of pilot addiction treatment program in Malaysia. He is a Clinical Co-investigator and Visiting psychiatrist for Pilot Methadone Program in Pengkalan Chepa Prison, Kota Bharu, Malaysia(2008-2009). He is also a clinical Co-investigator, Prison-Community Link Project on Harm Reduction (PICOL-HR or Project HARAPAN) 2009 – present.  He is a Committee members for National Methadone Maintenance Program, Malaysia(2006-present). He is a  Project Coordinator for Spiritual Enhanced Drug Addiction Rehabilitation (SEDAR) Program: Pilot Methadone Project in Ar-Rahman Mosque, Malaysia(2009-present). He is a Committee members and visiting psychiatrist for Pilot Methadone Program in Government Drug Rehabilitation Centre (PUSPEN PERSADA), Malaysia(2010-present) and  a Committee members and visiting Psychiatrist for Pilot Methadone Program in Aftercare Centre National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA)-2007-2009.
