DR. SONG SZE LOOI
Dr. Song Sze Looi is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), Universiti Malaya, specialising in Phylogenomics and eDNA Metagenomics. She obtained her PhD in the field of Algal Biotechnology in 2013. Following her doctorate, she was appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher on a high-impact research project in Molecular Phylogenetics and Systematics. PROF. DR. RAFIDAH BINTI ATAN
Rafidah Atan is Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya and Consultant Intensivist in the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Rafidah graduated with MBBS in 1996 and Master of Anaesthesiology in 2003 from Universiti Malaya, and for the latter she was also awarded the K. Pathmarajah Gold Medal. DR. LAI NGAN SHAN
Dr. Lai is a haematopathologist with area of interest in both adult and childhood haemato-oncology. After earning her Master’s in Pathology (Haematology) in 2022, she gained experience as a specialist in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Kuching. She helped in establishing new services such as Flow Cytometry for Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma as well as BCR-ABL1 quantification for Chronic Myeloid Luekaeia in SGH. In December 2024, she joined the Department of Pathology, University Malaya.
