Dr. Ali Fauzi's research interests revolve around various topics, including social media, digital activism, information literacy, and scholarly communications. He has published several articles in reputable journals, such as Library Information Science Research, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, and Information & Management. Apart from his research work, He is actively involved in teaching and administrative duties. Currently, he serves as the program coordinator for the Masters of Information Science Program and supervises masters and PhD students.

DR. CHUA YAN PIAW

Chua Yan Piaw is a professor at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at the University of Malaya. In 2019, he was a visiting professor at the School of Social Work and Education, University of Sussex, Brighton, UK, and in 2014, he was a visiting professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Washington, Seattle, USA. His series of books, "Research Methods and Statistics", books 1 to 5 with 62 chapters, are among McGraw Hill's Top 10 Bestselling Titles in Malaysia. In addition, his book "Mastering Research Methods, 2nd Edition" was awarded the 2018 Book Publication Award by the University of Malaya. As a result of his contributions to reviewing articles for the Elsevier's Web-of-Science journal Computers in Human Behavior, he received the 2016 “Excellent Reviewer Award”, and the 2017 to 2019 "Outstanding in Reviewing" award from Elsevier. His inventions and innovations have won six gold medals at international invention and innovation expos, as well as five gold medals at the world peace painting and calligraphy exhibitions. He has been an invited speaker for more than a hundred AMOS, SPSS, and SmartPLS workshops. In 2015 to 2017, he was invited by the Institute of Graduate Studies, University of Malaya to conduct 38 workshops (14 hours each) for postgraduate students at the university to enhance their data analysis skills under the upskill program. Between 2015 and 2016, he was invited by the National Sports Institute of Malaysia to conduct 12 statistics workshops for bio-mechanists, nutritionists, and psychologists at the institute to enhance their data analysis skills.The number of PhD students graduated under his supervision between 2008-2018 is 22.

PROF. DR. MOHD SHAHNAZ BIN HASAN

Dr Mohd Shahnaz Hasan is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and an Assoc Professor at the Department of Anaesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. He received his MBBS and postgraduate degree in Anaesthesiology from Universiti Malaya and went on to complete his Fellowship in Emergency & Critical Care Ultrasound. Majority of his time is devoted to clinical work, teaching and research. Over the past 10 years, he has maintained active collaborations with international research institutions and researchers, conducting research in areas related to critical care nutrition, nephrology, mechanical ventilation, sedation, and antimicrobials in critically ill patients. He is currently the PI of the following ongoing international clinical trials and research projects: MEGAROX (MRINZ), SPICE IV (Monash), VICTORY trial (Wurzburg), EFFORT-X(Queens), EQUIP-ICU (Oxford), REMAP-CAP (Monash) and FOIL-INFLAME (Malaysia). He is also the institutional lead in the CCAA project (Collaboration for Research, Implementation & Training in Intensive Care in Asia and Africa) which is supported by the Wellcome Trust. His past and ongoing work with the University of Queensland team in antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and optimisation of antibiotic dosing/delivery includes: BLISS, SAFE-ICU, DECISIVE, BLING III & PK/PD, PNEUDOS, and COLLABORATE. Apart from his significant contribution in the research and care of critically ill patients, he is also heavily involved in the provision of perioperative anaesthesia care for major complex spinal surgery, which include more than 2000 cases of complex congenital, neuromuscular and idiopathic scoliosis deformity surgery in young children and adolescents. Dr Shahnaz has received local and international research grants worth more than MYR 2.27 mil. He has more than 100 publications in high impact journals (WOS) with a H-index of 16 and 2200 total citations, of which 20 as first, senior, or corresponding author. About 43% of the co-authored publications are from international collaboration with researchers in other countries or region and 37% of the publications are in the top 25% most cited worldwide.
