Dr. Rozaimah Zainudin is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya. She obtained her Ph.D. in Finance from Universiti Malaya in 2011. She earned an MBA and a BBA (Finance) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia.   Dr. Zainudin's expertise in corporate finance, international finance and risk management. Her research contributions are widely recognized, evident in her extensive publications in reputable journals such as the International Journal of Emerging Markets, Finance a Uver-Czech Journal of Economics and Finance, Borsa Istanbul Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and many others. She has also co-authored a book entitled “The Malaysian Banking Industry: Policies and Practices after the Asian Financial Crisis” published by Routledge in 2018 with the other two authors (BOOK : The Malaysian Banking Industry after the Asian Financial Crisis (Please click this link https://rdcu.be/4fwg). The book offers valuable insights into the evolution of policies, risk management, and bailout strategies. This comprehensive resource fills a crucial gap in the market, providing students, researchers, and practitioners with up-to-date knowledge on the dynamic landscape of Malaysian banking post-AFC.   Dr. Zainudin's research interests extend to national and international projects, where she has been involved in several research grants focusing on topics like Financial Technology Usage and Financial Wellbeing, Shariah-Compliant Firms, Corporate Fraud, Financial Literacy and Corporate ESG-related studies. She presented her work findings at various international conferences, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in finance. As an academic, Dr. Zainudin is involved in teaching and supervising postgraduate students, contributing significantly to the development of future scholars in her field.

Dr. Song Sze Looi is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), Universiti Malaya, specialising in Phylogenomics and eDNA Metagenomics. She obtained her PhD in the field of Algal Biotechnology in 2013. Following her doctorate, she was appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher on a high-impact research project in Molecular Phylogenetics and Systematics. In 2016, she took on the role of Research Fellow, focusing on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Bioinformatics. In 2019, Dr. Song joined the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS) at Xiamen University Malaysia as an Assistant Professor. She returned to Universiti Malaya in 2021 and currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) and the Program Director for Future Studies. Dr. Song’s research integrates high-throughput sequencing technologies and advanced analytical tools to explore the evolutionary relationships and biodiversity of a wide range of organisms, including both marine and terrestrial taxa. Her projects examined the phylogenetic and phylogeographic structures of biota of economic, agriculture and public health importance, such as seaweeds, parasites, insects, and vertebrates, as well as microbial communities associated with host organisms and environmental samples. She has published over 60 WoS–indexed journal articles. In addition, she has led or contributed to numerous research projects funded by national, international, and industry bodies, including the Japan Toray Science Foundation, the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), the National Conservation Trust Fund (NCTF), and a Petronas-funded project in collaboration with UCSI University. Her recent work focuses on the application of eDNA for assessing marine biodiversity and ecosystem health, particularly in sensitive estuarine and coastal habitats. Her research excellence has been recognized (1) through multiple awards, including being a co-recipient of the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation 2023 Science and Technology Award, and (2) as a lead speaker at conferences.

Associate Professor Dr. Hanizah Idris is an academic staff at the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, currently serve as the Head of Department. She also had an experience in holding other administrative post at the faculty level and has been appointed as a Deputy Dean (undergraduate) from 2010-2014. Her area of research is on maritime development in Southeast Asia focusing on port and shipping as well as policy and governance of maritime sector in the region. Her area of research also covers other interesting area such as maritime tourism and sustainable development of the maritime sector. Dr. Hanizah has always been invited as a speaker in international conference and seminar and working closely with the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), a think tank for Malaysia's maritime industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department of Maritime Affairs), and port authorities in Malaysia. She has also contributed in sharing her expertise with government agencies on various issues related to maritime affairs in the region, including the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Maritime Division, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Department of Statistic, Malaysia, Institute of Strategic Studies (ISIS), Malaysia and with industries as well. Dr. Hanizah has involved in collaborations with foreign universities including Miami University, USA, Yonsei University, Korea, Soka University, Japan and Sindh University, Pakistan in terms of academic activities, students mobility programs and conferences.
