Dr. Leong research focus on investigating the mechanism of action of potent compounds toward developing new anticancer and antidiabetes drugs. His research adopts an in vitro approach using cell-based and enzymatic assays to identify the various cellular pathways modulated by a potent compound. Dr. Saw Chaw Yeh is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Universiti Malaya. DR. SHAMEER BIN HISHAM
Originally trained as a synthetic polymer chemist specialising in living anionic polymerisation of methacrylates, Shameer went beyond that to tailoring azobenzene-functionalised molecules and studying their photoisomerisation dynamics. Now, he is working on incorporating these photoswitches in various matrices to make new and interesting smart materials. Occasionally he can be found experimenting with organic emitters and hiking in his leisure time to remain cool under fire.
