Ir. Dr. Teoh Wen Hui is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Malaya. She has been involved in subcritical and supercritical fluids research, particularly in thermodynamics and extraction. More recently, Dr. Teoh is involved in the extraction of nutraceuticals from plants indigenous to Malaysia. Ir. Dr. Teoh is a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. She is also a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council, UK and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. She is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. Dr. Teoh obtained her B.Eng (Hons.) (Chemical) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from Cambridge University, UK and her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
show more »Associate Professor Dr. Anis Salwa Mohd Khairuddin is currently affiliated at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya. She is also a Chartered Engineer registered under the Engineering Council, U.K. and a member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). In addition, she serves as Malaysia Focal point for Sub-Committee on Microelectronics and Information Technology (SCMIT) in ASEAN COSTI (from year 2020 until current). The Committee on Science, Technology & Innovation (COSTI) is responsible for operationalizing and translating the APASTI strategic thrusts into specific actions. As for administrative responsibilities, she was the Final year Project (FYP) Coordinator from 2015/2016 until 2019/2020. Consecutively, she was appointed as the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) coordinator since 2020/2021 until 2023/2024. Currently, she is the Head of Department for the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya. In addition, she serves as the Head of Centre of Intelligent Systems for Emerging Technology (CISET), Faculty of Engineering, UM. Her research expertise lies in pattern recognition area, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence by developing computationally intelligent algorithms for spatial and temporal signal processing. She works on the application of machine learning methods to solve various pattern recognition problems in precision agriculture, smart manufacturing, and energy management. show more »Siti Hafizah is an Associate Professor with the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She received her Ph.D. in Software Verification and is leading a research team that specializes in Software Quality, Software Testing, and Affective Computing, where her team has published more than 100 papers in top peer-reviewed conferences and journals; SCOPUS and WoS. She is a SIRIM Technical Committee for Malaysia Standard of Software & System Engineering (ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7), Academic Programme Quality Manager, and currently holding a post as a Deputy Dean (Infrastructure) for the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology. She has graduated with 15 PhD students and more than 20 Master students. She receives private, national and internal grants for machine and deep learning research on metadata-tagging for music repositories, evolutionary software development for Malaysia's aging & retirement survey system, and natural language processing on anxiety and depression emotions with the Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. She was a recipient of the Newton Ungku Omar Institutional Linkage Grant for Big Data research on dengue prevention with the University of Nottingham, UK. Also, she is certified with professional training in iOS mobile app development, Project Management, and Computational Thinking. Her research interests are software efficiency, fault tolerance computing, and social media markers in mental healthcare.
