Biography | |
Dr. Azimah Omar received her B.Eng. degree in Electrical & Electronics and M.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). 2017 she completed her Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics & Systems Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Fac. of Engineering UM and Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) University of Malaya Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC). Her research interests include solar photovoltaic systems & technologies, nanomaterials & nanotechnology, solar cell modelling & optimization, and solar cell fabrication, characterization & analysis. She is also involved in solar PV module testing for industries using Electroluminescence equipment. She is an active and recognized Reviewer for the Journal of Materials Research, Heliyon Elsevier Journal, Nanotechnology Journal (IOP Publishing), and Materials Chemistry & Physics Elsevier Journal. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA, and a Graduate Engineer of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). In January 2020, she was selected to join DAAD DIES ProGRANT Proposal Writing for Research Grants in Malaysia (Remote Seminar) organized by the University of Cologne, Germany. After completing three-section courses, she is officially in the DAAD DIES ProGRANT Alumni Community.
