Biography | |
Dr. Azimah Omar received her B.Eng. degree in Electrical & Electronics and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). In 2017, she completed her Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Electronic & Systems Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) University of Malaya Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC). Her research interest includes photovoltaic technologies, nanomaterials & nanotechnology, solar cell modelling & optimization, and solar cell fabrication, characterization & analysis. She is an active and recognized Reviewer for the Journal of Materials Research, Heliyon Elsevier Journal, Nanotechnology Journal (IOP Publishing), and Materials Chemistry & Physics Elsevier Journal. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the USA, and a Graduate Engineer of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). In January 2020, she was selected to join DAAD DIES ProGRANT Proposal Writing for Research Grants in Malaysia (Remote Seminar) organized by the University of Cologne, Germany. After completion of three-section courses, she is now officially in the DAAD DIES ProGRANT Alumni Community.
