Biography | |
Associate Professor Dr. Anwar Suhaimi received both his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Universiti Malaya (UM). He received his physiatrics training in renowned rehabilitation medicine centres in Australia and Turkey, prior to his current clinical service in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, UM. He spearheaded the establishment of the Musculoskeletal, Pain Rehabilitation services and minimally-invasive pain management in UM, as well as teaching and research in this field nationwide. In recent times, he is also involved in expanding COVID-19 rehabilitation provision and research. He is involved in the expansion of the Cardiac Rehabilitation services, research, and education locally and internationally. His area of clinical and research interest includes cardiac telerehabilitation, heart failure rehabilitation, digital health, back and neck pain, osteoarthritis, chronic pain management and rehabilitation, regenerative rehabilitation and COVID-19 long term functional recovery. |
