Biography | |
Nadhratul Wardah Salman graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Subsequently, she completed a Master in Sports Policy followed with a Master of Law (LL.M). Out of her curiosity on the dynamic relationship between sports and law, she pursued her Ph.D at Manchester Metropolitan University focusing on the legal and safety issues of children’s sports. Her current areas of interest in teaching and research include Sports Law, Law of Torts, Constitutional Law, and Human Rights Law. Currently researching on combating match-fixing in sports, she also has a particular obsession in exploring the evolving legal context of duty of care in sports. Wardah has been building a significant leadership capacity for the past 15 years. She has been entrusted with managerial responsibilities such as the Deputy Dean, Deputy Director, and Residential College Master. She has also supervised and coordinated more than 50 sports events as well as community engagement projects. Actively participating in fitness and recreational activities, Wardah competed in numerous sports and martial arts tournaments for approximately 30 years. She represented UM in athletics (2007-2017) with the greatest achievement being awarded ‘UM Sportswoman of the Year’ in 2010. She was a member of Disciplinary Committee of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (2009-2014) and a think tank member of the Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (2012-2016). She was recently appointed by the Football Association of Malaysia as a member of the National Dispute Resolution Chamber (2022-2025). |
