Dr Michelle Suzette Jones is the Deputy Director at the Institute of Educational Leadership, University of Malaya where she focuses upon Academic Development and Internationalisation. Her most substantive leadership position was that of a Principal in South Wales, UK. She has also held teaching positions in both Secondary and International Schools in the UK and India.  In 2006 she gained the award of 'Inspirational Headteacher (Principal) of the Year' (Wales) and was invited to Downing Street for an audience with the Prime Minister for sustained excellence in leadership. In 2008 she became a School Effectiveness Associate for the Welsh Government and subsequently a Professional Education Adviser assisting with teacher and principal professional learning in over 2000 schools. Recently Dr Jones has also been working with government agencies in England, Russia, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, to contribute to the design and delivery of their professional learning programmes.
